Today’s semifinal will begin on 12.00pm local time, using 2 courts. Five TV matches :

WD : Wang Xiaoli/Yu Yang (CHN) v Miyuki Maeda/Satoko Suetsuna (JPN)

MS : Lee Chong Wei (MAS) v Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk (THA)

WS : Ratchanok Intanon (THA) v Saina Nehwal (IND)

MD : Liu Xiaolong/Qiu Zihan (CHN) v Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan (INA)

WS : Sung Ji Hyun (KOR) v Tine Baun (DEN)

INA has secured 1 XD final ticket, will Rijal/Debby realize all INA final?

WD as usual, 99% will be CHN own as Wang/Yu will storm to last round and take on their team-mates tomorrow.

MD and WS, full of surprises here and tough to predict

Looks like MS will go on the script, top and second seed will show off their performance to win AE title.

Does lightning strike twice? :D If they manage to win against Z/Z as well, I will go into a state of total shock! But I hope they can do it and bring some fresh faces into the top XD...

Pretty decent chance of that happening plus he's formed a good understanding with Ahsan. A good new pair at the top of MD! :)

    predictions:

Wang Xiaoli / Yu Yang beat Miyuki / Satoko - though heart says Japanese, Wang/Yang will be too much to handle.

Lee Chong Wei beat Tanongsak - a good experience for the Thai.

Ratchanok vs. Saina - Saina wasn't that impressive yesterday. there is a chance for May. afterall she beat Saina in the last outing.

Ahsan / Hendra beat Liu Xiaolong / Qiu Zihan - i think the Chinese run still be stop here, though they have been impressive so far.

Sung Ji Hyun beat Tine Baun - I want to sleep in the bed.

Chen Long beat Jan O - I want to see a Chen Long vs. Lee Chong Wei final. :)

Ma Jin / Tang Jinhua beat Cheng Shu / Zhao Yunlei - the qualifiers ( :) ) are tired at this stage, neither of which were impressive but MJ/TJH seems to be a bit more consistent

    Liliyana/Tantowi beat Markis/Pia - the experienced win.

Endo / Hayakawa beat Maneepong / Nipitphon - the JPN boys were very solid

Zhang Nan / Zhao Yunlei beat Rijal / Debby - gotta leave China something...

Kido/Pia against ToLyn. INA vs INA. We should support INA players whoever to win.. If the Final against ZN/ZYL, it should be better if Tolyn through to final..

Nobody going to bet that JPN WD will beat YY/WXL, same as nobody going to bet that Rijal/Debby can win against Chen Xu/Ma Jin but yesterday Rijal/Debby giving the shock.

Nothing is impossible, an unfit player will have a hard time no matter how good they are.

    My predictions for today.

WS : Ratchanok vs Saina Nehwal ---> Yesterday, Saina was very impressive. I opt for Saina today even though Ratchanok will give a tough fight..:)

MS : Jan O Jogersen vs ChenLong ---> The way he ousted ChenJin , a seeded player is an example of how much improvement he has made to his game.. I wish him to move ahead to final.

WD : As Usual, chinese pair (Yu/wang) will reach final.

MD : I hope Hendra/mohammed will move ahead to final.

XD :Definitely one indonesian pair would be in the final. But i think another pair which is meeting the chinese pair have a slight edge over chinese pair.. Lets see what happens..:)

 The "chinese pair" are the OG gold medallists, and were #1 ranked until recently when they were broken up to pair other players! :D It's unlikely Debby/Rijal have any "edge" over them... ;) :(

It is very frustrating that i could not watch Quarter, Semi, and Final of All England matches live on TV, especially due to several surprising encounters as a result of several upsets.

I watched when BoMo being sent home as early as round 16 by LXL/QZH. In my honest opinion, the key for CBA Duo victory are interception speed & unbelievably good defense. Several times LXL has been able to put BoMo on the pressure by dominating the front court in a faster speed and reaction as compared to Boe. Additionally BoMo does not give pressure as early as the first serve and Boe made unforced errors in critical points. In order to beat LXL/QZH, Ahsan/Hendra have to be faster than LXL/QZH and have to inject the pace and put pressure since the beginning. I guess, by doing so, LXL/QZH being pulled off from their "zone" and chances will be even higher to beat the China duo and get the ticket for their first AE Final. Hopefully, they can back a Gold.

The only reason is the organizers would show what a majority of people would want to see :)
