Hello everybody I just wanted to know if anybody have bought anything from this website before. http://www.bbesports.com/racket_ti.htm. all info well be welcome. it seems like they have all kinds of yonex and other name brand rackets and all the other badminton stuff too. if anybody can help me i would like to know how much exactly they charge for shipping. thanks to all of you who respond
Bluejeff would be the expert on this I, however, have been to their shop, and I can say that their store, on first impression, is not what I had in mind of a badminton shop. However, the equipment that they have are all genuine and they have tons of it, with decent prices too. They have an option to translate the site into English, and ordering information is also in English. http://www.bbesports.com/English/English order.htm
I am all right, not an expert The shipping will be depending on how many stuff you buy, but most likely minimium starts from $20 USD. There is a catch here, every time you deal with them, you will be charged for either 1. Money order/ check fee, or 2. Wire fee. Plus, adding with shipping fee, you will NOT save much unless you place an order over $300 or $400 USD of value. (If you just buy something really simple, say, a shirt, you will actually lose money )
Another advice when dealing with stores in China is that, don't buy anything that might potentially not "fit" you. For example, shirts, shorts, shoes...etc. Because it will cost you a lot for exchanging!! (If you ever need to) Think about it, Shipping from North America to China cost you at least $15 USD. They will charge you the fees again along with the shipping, so that's at least $30 USD. So, you will be end up with paying at least $50 USD for a simple exchange, and that's just a minimum estimate.
Here is the information: 2. If paying by Credit card, Debit card or PayPal, please email or call us for the exact amount and click here to pay. There is an extra 5.5% service fee (6.5% if outside of US). 5.5% for US? 6.5% for others? That's really Expensive!! They really know how to make money. Paypal only charges 3.3% for service fees. Imagine an order of $300 USD, you will have to pay 16.5 USD for the fee if you live in US, 19.5 USD if you live at other places. Mail them a check would be cheaper than using PayPal....
I don't think it is worth it. http://www.bbesports.com/en/order.htm 4. Shipping Fee by SURFACE to every country: US$12 for 1~3kg, US$20 for 3~6kg, US$38 for 6~12kg, etc. 5. shuttles weight: 25 dozens: 6kg , 50 dozens: 12kg. racket weight(include packing-case): 1 racket:1.2kg, 2 rackets:1.8kg, 3 rackets:2.4kg, 4 rackets:3.2kg,etc. ◇ Payment: 1. Payment methods accepted: Credit card, Debit card, PayPal, Cash, Telegraphic Transfer, Check or International Money Order payable at Bank Of China. 2. If paying by Credit card, Debit card or PayPal, please email or call us for the exact amount and click here to pay. There is an extra 5.5% service fee (6.5% if outside of US). 3. If paying by Telegraphic Transfer, please send the payment to our bank account as following. 4. If paying by Check, must add US$6.00 handling fee. If paying by Telegraphic Transfer, must add US$15.00 handling fee. 5. The payment of Cash, Check must be mailed to (by Express Mail, such as DHL, UPS, etc.): Every bit adds up to a handsome amount $$
I think the shipping price is pretty reasonable. But they should not charge for check or paypal..... If they didn't, I bet there would be much much more foreign buyers...
Their shipping fee is 1.5X more expensive than shipping from TW. So, unless you are buying a lot of stuff, it will be expensive buying from them.
Different countrys got different shipping rate. I don't think $20 of Express Mail for 1 racquet from China to US is that "expensive". For most authorized YY racquets that are sold on eBay, by US or CD seller, the shipping prices are all $20 or above(CD to US, or US to US). http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2919&item=5139888720&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=310&item=7115863026&rd=1
1. In china, if u deal with check (especially foreign currency), the bank will charge u. Therefore, they have to charge extra for that. 2. They don't need to get tons of foreign buyers: 2.1 They mainly deal with customers within CHN 2.2 They don't need to worry about all the communication problems, different tax/law/shipping regulation through out the world.
Whether worth or not, it depends on different ppl. To me, if I would like to order anything from them, I will limit to the following: 1. String: tons of string still won't be too heavy, never have to metion their string price is like 33-60% cheaper than in US 2. Shuttle: Order 50 tubes together with friends, even after shipping, it only cost less than $7 US per tube. Similar grade shuttle in US will be $10+. 3. For collecting purpose, hard to find rackets might worth any amount of $$$ to collectors.
Besides the additional process and shipping charge, u need to consider the possible damage and warranty issues if purchase rackets oversea. Buying high end rackets (i.e. Yonex AT, MP series) might be cheaper in Asia, however, there's a great deal of hassel (communication, extra shipping charge, different store policy, different regional policy, etc) to claim warranty if something happens.
