Hi, just wondering which shuttlecock do players use the most. I use G1101 (green 49 or 50) i don't know if it is good or not, cuz the club doens't use other birdies.. but i know it doesn't last long. ya., please gimme some suggestions as i may be the one who will purchasing birdies for the club later on. thanks.
Chester........................ Hi-Qua............................ YangYang........................... Yonex................................... Wilson...................................... YangYang & Chester are good.........
I usually use yonex(AS 30) somtime also use Protech t10 and kason(sliver) They are kinda good as far as i think
Re Hi, My group uses protech pt10. Its is quite durable, which can last for 1 1/2 game. i think in HK, they often use aeoplane shuttlecock. Unfortunately, i not sure what is the model. ceng
ya i also use pt10 .like the feeling abt it.only on rare occassions use pt tournament.but i think ashaway shuttles have reasonable prices and are good too.tried many kinds of shuttle but pt10 still 1 of my fav.
is it the nylon one? i am still looking for places that sells Yonex feather birdies... may be it is too expensive comparing to aeroplane.
you can find my shuttlecock review in the following links: http://groups.msn.com/SingaporeMixedDoubleBadmintonGroup/shuttlecock.msnw http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19359 hope this helps and please add in your comment or give personal reviews on other brand of shuttlecock that you had used.
Those of you that use feather birdies, do you humidify them? It's amazing how long they last if you do .....
Tai-Lai Green 49. I get them from Badminton Alley. Or Aeroplane Green from San Diego Badminton. I humidify them by dipping the feather portion in water and shaking off the excess. I also keep some damp cotton balls in the tube to keep the shuttles humid. Sounds excessive, but things tend to dry out very quickly around here.
My favorite is the Jinque AAA (Ibf approved).. lasts about 3X longer than the As-40 of yonex and maintains consistent flight characteristics even if feathers are damaged.
ok... however, i haven't seen this brand in HK just yet... Only Aeroplane, Victor, RSL, Yonex lynon and someothers can't remember the names are available in HK. once again, Aeroplane 49 Green is very easy to be damaged. Same as 50 white(better in grading) I want to try Yonex feather(as30, 40, or 50), however i couldn't find it in the stores i use to visit.
green aeroplane G-1130 and swallow G-1111 here. green aeroplane is the most commonly used in sydney, quality is almost as good as yonex with half the price
the most common use in HK is G-1101(Aeroplane), not G1130 or EG1130, may be it costs much much more .. since a bottle of G-1101 is ~$10USD, and Victor(can't remember the model) it is white, and it say 77 or 78 on the top. around ~$12USD a bottle. I could use upto 5 birdies in 2 hours for both brands.. however, i think Victor is a bit more durable. I like to smash and hit the birdie really really hard, however, i sometimes hit it with the frame(of course unintended)
