    Hi,
as there are some players retiring after the Olympics, I just wanted to make a list. It's probably not complete, so feel free to add or correct players.

    Players retiring after the OG:
    Thomas Laybourn
Sudket Prapakamol / Saralee Thoungthongkam (not sure)
    Yang Yu (?)
    Howard Bach / Tony Gunawan
    Jung Jae Sung (?)

    Players retiring later this year:
    Peter Gade
    Pi Hongyan
    Taufik Hidayat

Players retired after not reaching the Olympics:
    Nathan Robertson
    Sandra Marinello

    Any additions or corrections?

LYD might just come back stronger with a younger and faster partner ..... although that thing with not being mentally adept enough will need some work. He should also consider dumping mixed doubles if there is, ahem, no woman good enough for him .....

Wang Xin too might have to retire early due to her bad injury ..... This Olympics have had too many cases of horrific injuries.

Michal Logosz, Sayaka Sato and Wang Xin.

Um, but this is just loose speculation, right? She did a surgery and there has been no mention of retirement for WX.

Anyone know the plans of Yao Jie?
