Taufik Hidayat is going to play Lin Dan next... Isn't anyone excited about this? We should show our support. Go Taufik!
Hidayat edges through early clash http://www.london2012.com/news/articles/hidayat-edges-through-early-clash.html Excerpts: Former Olympic champion Taufik Hidayat came through a tough battle with Spain's Pablo Abian to reach the knockout phase of the men's Badminton competition. ...He said: 'I never play early mornings. It's too early for me, I'm not an early morning person. My body is still adjusting. Because I play too early, it's like I'm still sleeping.'
Taufik is going to pawn LD so bad tomorrow that even LD himself could not believe what went wrong... hahahhahaha Go Taufik... you still have it in you to beat LD !!!! I believe in you Sir Taufik
Taufik vs LD today on 9.45 am London time, according to schedule. 9.45 am. Hope Taufik will be awake enough then. If not, just give him coffee. Go Taufik!
If LD lost to TH today, it will be one of the biggest catastrophic in CBA history. "Super" Dan nickname will be put in a shadow.
One always has to go with the current champion, in this case go with your head, chances are going with our heart for champions past their prime is an exercise in futility.
Nevertheless, one more time, and for the last time in Olympics.... GO, TAUFIK!!!! BEAT THE **** OUT OF 'EM ALL!!!
What racket is it that Taufik is using against LD ? Looks little bit like VT70 but it's abit of golden in it aswell and as far as I know VT70 isn't golden. Can someone tell me what it is ?
Sad that he went out without so much as a dent in Lin Dan's armour. No worries though; even if I would have liked for him to beat Lin Dan and reclaim his throne as the best of the best, he has had his run. The clear favourite in the world from late 1999-2005 (maybe even 2006 in AG), he's had his 6/7 years at the very top of badminton and many more years afterwards where he was still one of the best. Even if he hasn't got as many flashy career titles that Lin Dan has, he had and still has something which no one will ever come close to: pure talent and magic. Him and Peter Gade will forever be remembered.
