FYI: malvinne ann venice alcala runner- up in 2010 maldives int'l challenge and also runner-up in 2010 syria int'l series and Quarter finalist in 2010 New Zealand int'l challenge after beating ANA ROVITA of indonesia in straight set.and i hope that the Government and the Phil.B.A.give a full support for her training and international exposure for this year, becoz she and her brother are the only hope to bring honor in their country in badminton.
there are 3 top female players actually, Malvinne Venice Alcala Gelita Castilo Bianca Carlos those are the best 3 female players, gelita and bianca are almost same level now i believe. But poca is the best of the 3.
yeah you're right! there's 3 top players philippine has,but i think as ive heard the 2 other players are not a member of the philipine team.so this 2 girls must join in phil.squad so they can compete in int'l tournaments.and i think this 2 girls are same age of venice alcala, wow!they must join!so later on, maybe 2-3 years from now philippines already have 3 world class caliber players.but first the Phil.B.A. must do something about it to convince this 2 young girls to join the Phil.Team.
yes, she was the partner of poca before but now i believe she is already connected with golden shuttle foundation, the team of bianca carlos. what i know is bianca is the youngest of the three, gelita is turning 18 this year, poca is 17 and bianca 16.
nope your wrong,FYI: venice (poca) alcala born nov.5 19195 she just turned 16 last nov.,gelita born july 4 19194,and bianca carlos is febuary 1995,so it means poca is the youngest among the three.
