Would you guys recommend me to buy from this ebayer? I'm not sure if he sells the genuine racket. Would you guys buy from him? Thanks. http://www.ebay.com/itm/140624216332?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
Kid, With the price plus shipping, you can walk into Badminton alley and get 1 for ~10 to 15 more and get 1 year warranty in US. And only wait for 1 hr for stringing.
But wouldn't it be $225+ tax at badminton alley. Plus I don't really live near one. Btw, if I buy and get it strung at badminton alley, would I have the choice to string it to the color of my choice INCLUDING the logo of whichever brand?
Personally, I bought all my YY rackets from a local dealer. It saved me $200 over a broken VT-80 with the warranty. However, US version doesn't have G5, so if you prefer G5 over G4, this may be a better choice. Eric from squash_mart even has an account here. I believe if you ask him directly, he might give you even better discount. Just recommendation from a happy customer.
Ha Ha Ha. It's the same guy...Eric from RKEP on Ebay aka squash_mart. He's a reputable seller as I have personally bought 3 rackets from him (Yonex VT80 LTD, Victor MX80, and Babolat X-Feel Blast) on a group buy with other forum members. You can choose the string and tension. No logo on the strings though.
haha wait, what do you mean "its the same guy?" can I contact him in any way through this forums? Oh and, is there any way I can sting a racket with my choice of color with logo anywhere?
Eric from RKEP on Ebay is known for selling real yonex rackets. Personally i have bought over 25 rackets from him (not all for me lol) and have bough other yonex gear as well. If you want a genuine yonex racket for a cheep price get it from him.
Yesh... From the link you provided...it goes to ebay store called RKEP. If you look at the webpage...you'll notice that it is maintained by squash_mart. His real name is Eric and also goes by Squash Eric here in these forums. He also sells grips (which I also bought a ton) and a thread about it is here http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php/81662-RKEP-Grip/page41 If you scroll down on the link you provided...you'll see a whole whack of Yonex strings to choose from and the available colour he has. He does not stencil on a Yonex logo on the strings...so you'll have to go elsewhere for that or do it yourself (ie. buy stencil ink and yonex logo stencil).
I think if you want a wide choice of strings and colours you should check out mybadmintonstore.com http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php/71457-STORE-PROFILE-mybadmintonstore.com I think BG66 probably has the most colours to choose from out of all the strings. Probably contact in advance to ask for a logo and let know which colour at the same time (owner also member here) VT80 BG66 (anyhoo why is this still in this section? )
Do you know what grip size you prefer? G4 (normal) or G5 (smaller grip size)? If you like G4...buy it from the US. If you like G5... buy it online.
My hands are pretty small so I think G5 should be good. But I'm not sure are they really that much of a difference? And I think badminton alley sells the G5 version in store too so that's good.
usually most of us use an overgrip as well. ie cheaper and easier to just change the overgrip on a regular basis rather than changing the original grip.
BG66 (as available in the South East Asian region incl. HK). Ultimax only comes in two colours ... Is that Badminton Alley 3UG5 even a US coded?? ("The Yonex Voltric 80 (3UG5) is a special ordered racket. It is a heavier racket and it has a smaller grip than the regular Voltric 80 (4UG4). Limited Quantities available".)
Does it matter if it is US coded or others like Taiwan? Because I just bought one that is from Taiwan. And what do you mean the 3UG5 is a special ordered racket lol. and they can both have G5 grip so how is it smaller than the 4ug5
Yes, 3U Vt80 was offered to about 6~10 dealers in US on one time special order only. not sure if it was G5 or not.
