Ratchanok Inthanon needs to build up her physical strength (more muscles) . At that time (1996), Mia looked so strong physically. Ratchanok, although having great skill, speed and stamina, will need to build up her physical strength (more muscles), in order to have a better chance to win a medal at the 2012 London Olympics. .
disagree not everyone need extra muscles to win if yes, then those weight lifter will win badminton title everday
Have muscles, but not heavy-weight muscles . You are going to the extreme. Think of Lee Chong Wei and Lin Dan - Have muscles, but not heavy-weight muscles. We know the heavy-weight muscles will slow a player down. RI only need to do more push-ups, sit-ups, etc, etc ...... .
hey!dont worry her revenge is already finished, her best friend venice alcala (poca) did it when poca beat ANA ROVITA in NEW ZEALAND INT'L CHALLENGE 2011 by 2 sets only.also 1995 born from philippines...
She is so consistent with her footwork and seems very discipline. That's hard to see from her age. I always like to compare her style with Tai Tzu's .. , the Tawian girl's whom debut to the international senior game at similar time. (I believe..)
My Little Princess Inthanon Ratchanok, go win the Thai Open GPG 2012 Final vs Saina Nehwal, you can do it ! I believe you will become a world beater very soon.
Ratchanok has agreed to sign up for Qingdao Beer Badminton club, two-time Chinese Badminton Super League Champion. She will play along the likes of Ma Jin and Fu Haifeng.
She's doing pretty well in the chinese badminton league... What a match between RAT and Wang Lin a couple of days ago... Nerve wrecking match.. Manage to force wang lin to 4 corners of the court and tested her stamina to the end..
Inthanon will benefit considerably playing in the CBSL. The fact that Qindao club chose her to play for them as 1st WS is recognition of her prowess. She gains the much-needed level of intense competition lacking back home, not that Porntip, Busanan, etc are weak players, not at all except that thay are too familiar with each other's play. At the same she also get to learn from the CHN coaching staff (with the help of an interpreter, I noticed). Still only 17 and 3 or 4 years in the International circuit, I'm certain with her talent it's a matter of time she will make a big break. I'm not surprised, Porntip and Busanan, too.
Inthanon and Tai are considered child prodigies though not quite the same mould as Taufik Hidayat. Just hope they don't burn out too soon but it's early days yet to worry about that. Sindhu and Busanan are the other two young candidates with lots of potential. Perhaps Carolina Marin too. As for the CHN youngsters, they aren't so fortunate. With their seniors so good, very few of them get to play in the international circuit except for the exceptional ones and then only occasionally provided they produce reasonably good results, eg Chen Xiaojia.
