I'm currently looking for a new racket. I have trouble choosing a new racket at the moment. I already made up my mind to buy victor mx80, but after finding the racket is actually even balanced, i changed my mind. Here are the rackets which i'm considering. Armortec 900P, Voltric 80, SW 35 or other Victor/Yonex brands with the same specs. I already owned arcsaber 8dx, but doesn't seem to enjoy playing with it. My game mostly involved hard smashes and accurate placements. If it can help with my defences (fast returns and clears), that would be nice too. though it might be a stretch as head heavy rackets aren't really known for speed. Hope u guys can help me out.
I would say try the voltric 70 before the arc10. The arc 10 is maybe a bit stiffer, but its not as head heavy imo. and the voltric 70 isnt a slouch for speed. That beings aid, i prefer the ac 10.
I will suggest SW35. Its slight head heavy, and stiff. Overall its a solid and heavy feeling racket, very excellent in offense department while reasonably fast during defense.
Forza makes a lot superstiff and headheavy rackets. I don't know any brand with stiffer shafts. My TI 550 VS *********** My wet balance point (strung and Karakal nano 60 on wood): 315mm MX80 never ever even balanced! My MX80 ******* My wet balance point (strung and Karakal nano 60 on wood): 310mm My SW35 ******** My wet balance point (strung and Karakal nano 60 on wood): 312mm My stiffness rating ************** TI 550 VS > MX80 > SW35 > AT900 P
didn't think anyone would consider the mx80 to be "balanced" did you try the 3u or 4u version? I guess if you are use to 3u heavy head rackets. A 4u heavy head racket may feel more of like a balanced+ 3u racket.
ssgg007: I haven't tried it, just conclude it from the infos i read. Currently, i am using the new 3u at700 with only standard grip. ucantseeme: i'm confused. i read somewhere in the forum that 3u mx80 to be "balanced". alextan: i did swing the v80 b4, but didn't get to stroke with it. Is it true that it lack the solid feeling of at700?
to the guys who have used the new at700. which racket u think resemble closest to it? solid, long handle and really head heavy.
i tried the vt80 yesterday, but it felt hollow to me. it's looking more likely i'm getting another at700 after this.
Black Knight Taper 20! Great feeling, easy to use, head heavy and stiff racket (88 is some of their highest rating).
I like the SW35 more than the VT80... I started out with the VT80 but the shaft is too inconsistent... Sold it and stuck with the SW35 for singles. The SW35 feels much more solid...
Stiffest rackets I have are the FZ Forza Ti550, Victor Meteor X80 and the Li Ning N90-II. Yonex is not stiff compared to these rackets. Don't know how stiff the Yonex VT-ZF will be.
