That's the way I thought of him too when he's still in college...guess the trails aren't really blazing for Portland (basketball). There goes your meal ticket if Greg and Roy continually get's injured:mad:.

It was insane. I wanted to go to the parade but once I heard there would be 300,000 people out there, I backed out!
This has been the funnest year for us Mavs fans. My office is celebrating the win with a MAVS theme today. There are small portable shops in front of gas stations selling Mavs gear!.
Just a good feeling to be in Dallas right now!
    :)

..i thought you should've gone..it might be the only time you'll get to celebrate and have a parade for the Mavs in a while...But enjoy it anyway..
*I think it will be a different team winning it all next yr; this yr, imo, Mavs caught the Purple and Gold out of steam and unfocused; then met the disarrayed Heat..

At first I didn't want the Mavs to win because they beat my Blazers. But as the playoffs wore on, it boiled down to either the Mavs or the Thunder. When the Mavs made the final, it was a no-brainer. BEAT the HEAT!!

LeBroom and the Heat don't really have much competition from here on out other than the Bulls (East Coast)..It also depends if DHo aka Superman 2 is going to re-sign with the Ohlando Magic Kingdom or if he'll bail ship to say the Bulls; if he does, Da Bulls gonna be scary..If the NBA landscape stays the same for the foreseable future, e.g. DHo re-signs with Magic and Amare stays with Knickerbockers, the future still looks good for Heat..The Smeltics are done, imo..

..did you make that wishful prediction in this forum? which thread? or you thought you made that prediction here?..
winning back to back is very2 hard; not the least is going back to the Finals in consecutive yrs...the team must have the hunger to do it again and also have the good luck factor in health..

I think I made that prediction the beginning of this season! Dont remember where though!
But in honesty, I dont think anyone would have correctly predicted that Mavs will win it all! But we are all glad they did...... :)

No way... With no Phil Jackson, Lakers is just another ordinary team!

    dear malayali,
i've checked your posts going back to fall of last yr (start of 2010-2011 season) and i don't see any post mentioning you made the prediction of Mavs winning it all..
however, this was the last post you made from last yr re your Mavs...check it out...and remember what happened to them in last yr's playoff:

82 matches in the regular season, 21 matches in the play offs and you guys more or less know who will win it? Bet none of you made a killing when Garnett-Allen-Pierce turned the place upside down eh. :)

Agreed. Without a respectful coach telling Kobe to pass the ball, you will see him taking 40 shots a game and getting only 10 in every night.

    Clipper Land

Blake Griffin plus CP3 and Billups equals owning Staples Centre?

Wonder how Kobe responds to protect (if he still can) his territory.

From nought to 60...it'll be Clipper Land I hope.:D

Melo and Amare with the Knicks, Big 3 with the Miami Heat, old Big 3 with the Celtics, CP3 with Blake Griffin. The old Wild West. The aging Kobe and Nash at the near end of their careers. Oh, Brandon Roy just retired leaving Greg Oden alone in his injury plagued career to anchor the Blazers.

This could be an interesting shortened season with lots of anticipation because nobody can predict how it's gonna pan out. Then there's the Howard bonanza which could very well end up with a D-Will pairing.

My only bet is, a CP3 Clipper jersey will be the number 1 seller this season.;)
