Some pictures of our future young stars from Asia captured during the Cheers Asian Satellite Badminton Championships 2004 currently held in Singapore: Can you recognize any of them and their names?
Hm... the first picture is obviously Ronald Susilo. And it should be after he and Kenderick, the person in the second picture, lost to an india pair, seeing how he has taken off his shoes and socks and looks sad. Oh btw, you have already given away the game by naming the pictures.
I'm afraid not. Couldn't find that name on my results sheets. I think she's Kurien Shruti and her partner is Sanve Thomas. They entered the QF but lost to Indonesians Pribadi & Endange Nur Sugianti.
I think he is the other Nguyen (Quang Minh), who lost to Ky Bin and not the semi-finalist, Nguyen Tien Minh, who lost to Kendrick.
no. 8 is saina nehwal and JBS Vidhyadhar is in no. 13 pic... Aparna Popat didn't participate in this one...

Your country's representatives showed great promise as players and they are fine sportspeople who respect the officials' decisions. I have also seen your senior players before and they are equally as promising. I look forward to their participation in the Singapore Open in mid-Nov. One disappointment of mine is that I did not see any player from the Philippines, where the badminton game is reportedly booming by the day. Maybe one day you can follow your national team to visit Singapore?
good to hear that... there is no doubt that they are improving. But rate at which they improve is not satisfying. sure, I would love to visit singapore... to see this country and meet fellow BFers.
I hear a lot about Saina nehwal as the upcoming star, and the latest sensation. Hopefully she can be among the top in the world. She is still very young, and showing bright prospects.
i really admire you all bro... being knowing all of these players... i've never heard any of their names except Ronald and the Malaysian players
