Lin Dan won first 21-15, lost second 19-21.
He's making a ton of errors.

Please, nothing to do with mental. Simon s been playing consecutive tournaments for a month now. Likely to be suffering from fatigue factor more than anything else.

Personally i don't think he's playing his best. I don't know if Chen Long can come back at 10-16 but it's definitely possible.

Probably to do with back counting scores , if required. All CHN vs CHN matches likely go to 3 games for that reason. No intensity to save energy but errors to chalk up scores. May some one check the rules ; if 3 players in a group win one match each, how do they decide who s the runner up?

Commentators claim he's frustrated due to disagreement with the umpire.
Man i got nervous at the end, if Lin Dan lost that 3rd game with a 20-15 lead i would've lost faith in Super Dan :(

How about Peter? He is older than Simon.
Maybe Simon just recovery from injury? Is that true?

I read somewhere, Simon is getting injured at Macau GPG (on his shoulder cmiiw), he tried to force himself while playing with DPY in semi, and gave good fight. I think he just join this tournament to get the point for olympic qualification, he would not force himself to play all out and rest until Kor SSP and Mas SS.

So, conclusion is no chance for Simon. expect him to lose tamely against LCW and the other opp.
