Back Alley Flora Taken with Nokia E72 on the way back from picking up the thrash container (probably on the way back from dropping it of I'm thinking now, early morning sun; only resized and cropped slightly for first and last) Last one here in the shade unfortunately, not as much colour in it and taken later in the day. Should've taken one of a perfect dandylion as well today
London (again...) Battersea Power Station -this famous landmark building has been derelict for decades, but is a protected structure and so cannot be demolished. The architect was Giles Gilbert Scott who also designed the famous red London telephone box. Only one of the four chimneys was functional - the other three were added to give visual balance. A bus driver once told me that this is the London home of a famous actor... Check out the licence plates...! Houses of Parliament at sunset. Big scandal here recently when it was revealed MPs were fiddling their expense accounts on a grand scale. One guy even used public money to dredge the moat around his castle! Some have been jailed for fraud as a result. London is strong on public sculpture and I've always admired this one on the Chelsea embankment. OK - that's all for now. Cheers, smautf

Canadian Thanksgiving It was a beautiful long weekend in Nova Scotia. Took lovely walk with the family today along the Atlantic coast not far from home. Sorry I have no photo skills, but this came out decently.
On the way back, my wife wanted a photo of two small inukshuk. You can barely see them against the background..... but what is that out in the ocean?........
.....It's HMS Vengeance, a British nuclear submarine headed out to the open ocean after a brief stay in port. (You wouldn't catch me walking around on the top of that floating hot dog.)
El-Tigre Weather is hot enough to almost make me wanna jump in too! Well... almost... http://www.flickr.com/photos/mizivincible/3365661545/in/photostream Gotta love the tiger ! Enjoy
