Not sure I can agree with your opinion. The main reason Chong Wei lost was nerves got to him. Only Chong Wei himself can solve this problem as it's a mental issue! Way back before Chong Wei won any All England title, fan claimed he couldn't win this major event and he overcame and won twice eventually. Chong Wei able to beat other players in WC mainly because he's 1 level better than them except Lin Dan whom I think is in the same league as him, that's where "nerves of steel" becomes an issue as winning WC title is the first time for Chong Wei.
I think Chong Wei vs Lin Dan will have flip-flop winning as their level is very close, Chong Wei just have to find his comfort zone and treat these big events just like other regular SS tournaments. Of course, the issue is will there be enough time for him to adapt and succeed?(Only window to Olympic event is available now)
We all love Chong Wei and hope he continues to perform well. Datok boleh!

Ko saw the hole, hit it to the side line, but missed it by millimeters.

CHN has 2 formidable MD: CY/FHF and CB/GZD. KOR with LYD/JJS and KSH/YYS. INA with MK/HS and MA/BS. But KOR provide least gaps between their two MDs. Interesting.

it was very, very close, Chong Wei was so close to winning it... I think he did everything right, he played his heart out, I can feel his dejection after losing, it's like "What can I do to beat him?" kinda reaction... I wouldn't fault him, I think he did his best, mentally, OK still a little but much better than before... now he can run very close... sometimes the luck just doesn't go your way... what a match... sad, but OK, there's a next time...
