u look carefully at the frame, the sw37 blue color extend until the mid of the frame, bs12 is only at the bottom part of the frame, and u see JJS frame, it is same with bs12's description, also, the color scheme is identical to bs12.

JJS has used the BS10 in the past - probably part of his sponsorship deal that he plays a racket during roll-out to get it some publicity. It worked: we're discussing it right here:D.

Btw - Jung's racket looks like the BS12 to me;).

Mark A might very well be right, because I think JJS used his SW35 again in the QF 2 hours ago, or was I wrong? He is just endorsing the SW37/BS12 I think :D

^^Probably doesn't do him any harm to use a different racket against minnows/fodder - I recall Taufik using the Z once and then abandoning it in his very next match last year. Victor aren't going to make JJS use an unfamiliar stick if it means he and Lee might not win:D.

Victor Superwave 37 VS BraveSword 12

    Superwave 37
    BraveSword 12
ps:The E.TITANIUM alloys combine with carbon fiber to increase the quantity of the frame head, providing better torsion resistance, allowing a player to easily deliver a powerful smash.

i think Superwave 37 is slightly head heavy, but not too noticeable,i will go for SW37 since it cheaper :D

Dear all, I am a defensive player and looking to improve my rearcourt attacking power so I have bought MX80 recently. I am looking for second racket but doesn't want it to deviate too much from MX80.

I am considering SW36 and SW37. Can anyone share the difference between SW36 and SW37 in term of smashing power, stiffness, speed, etc. Thanks.

I don't think it's a common racket... Been to shop again yesterday holding a sw36 and it feels good as well, maybe the stiffness same with my bs11. The owner said the sw37 defence is good as well due to it's medium stiff. Man I'm not sure. Just scared the sw37 feel heavy than bs11. Anyway its selling in melaka Rm400 with string and bag. Izzit good deal? But no stock. gotta wait.

RM400 shoud be reasonable. There is a shop selling the frame of SW37 at RM350 (without bag & string).

jump-smash has one SW37, hope he can share with us. I am interested to know the difference between SW36 & SW37 :)

    i choose red and...
grip replacement fail! looks like Lin Dan grip LOL!

player info : beginner wanna be intermediate, playing twice a week, already 2 years with badminton :)
    176" and 105kg :crying:,right handed,buying new racket for smashing "pleasure" ...

racket info : Victor SW37,strung with ecp machine at 25lbs,2 knot, Yonex BG66 ultimax white color,
price is RM390,racket with string and wilson overgrip,

review : this is personal taste ok,different people got different taste,...i use Prince TT2400 before, when i were 1st holding the SW37 it feel a bit heavy and the handle is somehow feel "hard" ,...after it get strung i do feel it a bit lite before this(i dunno why, dont ask >.<) ,...to preserve the original grip,i put a Wilson Pro overgrip to it,and the handle still feel hard,i wrap up another Dunlop Gekco overgrip,so i can get "smooth" feel,so when i smash my palm will not feel hurt.(ps: the softest grip i ever try is Fleet replacement grip) ,but i still can't feel right with the SW37,..

after 2 weeks,i put it on sale at RM400:D,but no one interested with it,so i just take off the original grip and put a new karakal PU Super replacement grip( i hate replacement because of its glue, that's why i always use overgrip even i need to pay extra RM7.00*2=RM14.00 for it!... after try for one day(2hrs of playing) ,i feel its comfort and power :D ,...i always looking for my TT2400 replacement, its a good racket, but it some kind lack of power when smashing ,and the SW37 is my answer for it ,its my main racket now, if before this i always change between Prince TT2400 and Carlton Aerosonic X-833 GLO between game but this time i only use SW37 ALL THE TIME!

    269184_10150218911716965_612581964_7676196_8112000_n.jpg
my Carlton Aerosonic X-833 GLO,bought it RM230,sold it at RM150 :( ,its a fast racket, got frame shape like BS12,but lack of smash power ...

that's all from me,mind that i just a regular badminton player, not a club member or pro player ;) ,any question i will try answer it :)

Hi Jump Smash, this is a very interesting scenario. I also have experience with switching SW35, AT900P(stiff) to a mid stiff racket (like Z slash).

I usually use SW35. But one day, I use my secondary racket, Z Slash. I started off with Smashing to net quite often. and felt slower than SW35.

I think the kick point(due to head heavy/light balance) defers between them and the timing of the flex (shaft stiffness). My bro use the AT900P, and he tried Z slash, but could not generate fast smash. I think this is due to the way we flex/swing our main rackets.

Personally, i feel that Mid stiff racket - to get more power into your shots - is swing earlier and stop earlier (comparing to stiffer racket) Just like the example "the chain and the pole".
Mid stiff racket is like the shorter pole/longer chain. It needs more time to generate more power. (the potential power is stored in the shaft for slightly longer time(before it release out, flex forward) than a stiffer racket)

if the racket is head heavy balance, then the Kick point will be lower (depending on the shaft stiffness) stiffer = slightly higher KP.

If the racket is head light balance, then the Kick point will be higher.

If KP is lower, then we need to adjust the timing of the swing(generative) technique.

If you use a stiffer racket, you will tend to use more explosive/short(sudden) technique (use more forearm and wrist, fingers). that's why more pro doubles player use stiffer rackets, because it gives them better control/feel of shots during fast exchanges.

    ok that's all for now.

    Agile,

    Excellent understanding of kick point!

So, to get a steep angle smash with a flexier racket requires more of a whipping motion, ie. earlier forward stroke with a slight pullback action at the end in order to whip the racket face forward and downward.
