Hopefully the performance and perhaps more importantly the durability of ZM62 will be as improved as the packaging didn't you test the prototypes ? Any comments ? I unfortunately haven't sampled the protypes
The only p/t I got hold of was the Z67, and it was a very marked improvement, especially with respect to the outer coating; IME the previous Zymaxes had always had a problem with ripping through grommets.
Just a quick question, but I assume the first post should say premature string breakage on mishits and not premature frame breakage on mishits. I have experienced plenty of the former but none of the latter (thankfully.) If this zymax is less aggressive on grommets I for one will be very pleased. Using zymax 62 is expensive for 2 reasons: 1) Faster string breakage than other strings (but performance is worth it) 2) Grommets need replacing nearly every string job! So the new Zymax address both of these issues, could it be... A company with product testing that has actually improved a product and listened to consumers! Prior to this announcement I was considering trying bg66 umax (because of string breakage/grommet damage and good reviews from other bc'ers). I will stick with Zymax now, as long as everything is as described. Just need to use a few metres of "original" zymax 62 now!
I also would like to get a reel of the new 62, but how long before it will be available in the UK and how would I know whether I'd be receiving the new one and not the old one?
What we don't see is the silver and the new yellower(?) yellow (white for performance, red for show? )
Google search in UK online shops seem to turn up only the older Zymax packaging picture, I guess it will take a bit of time for the existing inventory to be exhausted (from impressions on the forum, it's not as though it's a bad string).
It's finally here. Checked today. No flourescent yellow though. http://www.stringersworld.co.uk/section/390/1/zymax
Wanna get the new Zymax62 to try. I am using the Zymax62 MkI, and wondering what changes have they made
