Time magazine just released its list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Some surprises. Justin Beiber  is on the list.

Among sportspersons. Kim Clijsters is present.

The South Korean pop star turned actor, Rain figures on the list. So does Sting. Wow!

John Lasseter is on the list. Hooray! He's been my hero for the longest time. Not just for the movies, but for the technology, which he contributed immensely to along with others in the 80's.

Amy Chua is also on the list. Great work!

    Here is the full list:

The person right at the top of that list should be Mark Zuckerberg - everybody uses it, revolutions ferment and start there, people rise and fall from being listed on the pages and millions are connected in that one portal that signifies global interconnectivity. Partnerships with retailers will make it more of a reason to shop via digital credits and keeping people at home, boards are used as real time information exchange are done at the speed of light.

Facebook is like an evolved version of the WWW (CERN) to the Internet.

And it baffles me how the likes of Justin Bieber got onto the list - compare what His Airness did to cause NBA basketball to become a global trademark and being quoted endlessly for being less-better than the actual video - the people who wrote the names must have been smoking something strong.

Speaking of which, a lot of people believe that Ghonim has no business being on the list because he (of his own admittance) didn't do anything or intend to, to start the Egypt rev going...

Facebook can, and will, also be used as a tracker by Governments. Here is another article that may be of interest to you:

Yeah, and did you notice how Big Brother is taking a more-than-usual interest in this "social networking" thing?
