OMG, Wang Lin as world number 100 is pretty impossible to think  I hope she can give a good performance at the Australian Open, if in normal form she would have no problem winning the title, but she has to be careful not to aggravate her injury. Go Wang Lin! :D

Once you have a big injury, it is a big ask to make a big come back. ;) Her career may be over? ;)

Wang Lin at the 2011 Australian Open GP Gold

    .
I believe that Wang Lin and Liu Xin would face each other on Finals Day (if they are drawn in different halves in the Womens Singles Draw).

well, Tine Rasmussen had a major injury but after coming from injury she has become a much much better player and major contender, in fact, winning 2 All England titles and many Super Series titles to date. hopefully the same will happen with Wang Lin as she really was the strongest among Chinese WS in the world championships when she won.

2011 Australian Badminton Open GP Gold (I guess WL will face LX at the Finals)

    .
I think Wang Lin will face Liu Xin [1] at the Finals. But watch out, there could be match-fixing in this match (I'm just guessing ;););)).

I spotted Wang Lin with the rest of the CHN teammates

    .
I've finally got to see Wang Lin in person on Sunday 03-April-2011. She was in Melbourne trying out our tournament venue for the 2011 Australian Open (which will commence on Tuesday 05-April). I spotted her with the rest of the CHN teammates waiting for the 6:26pm tram (returning to their hotel).

Amongst the CHN womens teammates, Wang Lin stands much taller and bigger. Also noticed that she can read English (reading the time-table at the tram-stop) to inform her teammates when the tram is coming.

Any chance of you getting up close with her or her teammates? In the coming days?

I was only thinking of chit chat or photo sessions.

I was tempted to approach Wang Lin

    .
I was tempted to approach Wang Lin, to talk to her. But I decided not to. :):):)

I was thinking that if I were her (a player), and she was me (a fan), would it be OK to invade a player's space (just to get acquainted)? ;););)

Only when the situation allows and she is comfortable with your approach. Yeah we have to respect the players.
