Was rooting for the malaysian pair today!!!! thought they would of taken it... but again, it was the lack of intensity that threw the game away. They have more than enough talent to be the best in the world, however, its the kid-ish attitude that loses the game.

Yes, just like we said before......their 'top form' seems still not enough for a major title !....It happened in WC10, AG10 and now.....

    what had happened ??........

With this pair, you need to get used to it......They will cheer you up very rarely, but disappoint you very often...!!

But they did some decent job in this AE11 to reached final, I have to admit that !!

According to the commentary, the Danes changed their tactics and instead of engaging in speed and herd-hitting,

resorted more too softer"placing" to empty spots and mixed up the speed of downward hits to give their partners more time to recover and take

up attacking positions at the net. Koo/tan just maintained the same strategy of speed and hard hitting and were intercepted.

Rexy kept instructing them to "ke-tengah" ie. hit to the center.

It looks like they were not well adjusted to playing the Danes who can vary their speed of play and mix their shots to be more deceptive. they probably need different strategies against different pairs.

This was the same strategy applied by MK/HS during AG10 final.........it really paid off against pair like KKK/TBH.

The service judge was a bit lenient with regards to MB's serves.
If you were to watch the video recordings, you will note that at times MB was serving above the waist. If service faults had been called, the match's outcome might be different.
Chai Biao was faulted a few times for the kind of serves that MB dished out to KKK/TBH.:crying::crying::crying:

Yes, they let it slipped through their fingertips!

IMO, it's the same like as the asian games 2010 final!

Level of intensity went down after they had a big lead..noticed that TBH smashes were not as powerful as before,, he can't even kill the from 3/4 court for 3 times..CM-MB's smashes may not be as big as FHF of JJS but they are angled and sharp to achieve maximum damage. MB's front court play during the closing stages were phenomenal

While the Den pair could changed the tactic and turned the table around yet our MAS pair couldn't? Where has gone wrong?

No comments...maybe I should avoid seeing them play in any future finals, or maybe just watch the first game & switch off my TV after that.

They beat MK/HS and CY/FHF. And this is very good.

And, KKK/TBH had won the title before.

Just just give them a break.

Congrats for their good performance at the recent AE.

It's a pity they couldn't close the second game. Tan was very nervous at that point and the Danes just channeled their attacks on him. He did a few low serves which were way too high over the net and that didn't help his confidence.
Koo did played quite well but Tan started to lost his touch and confidence in the later part of game 3 which cause them the match. However, credit to them for trying their best on court. Sometime we just have to accept that it was not your day as Tan was playing superbly in his quater and semi but not in the final.

All I wanted to say to this pair is keep it up and it would be nice if Tan can find ways to calm himself down during crucial points. Thanks for giving us fans a spectacular semi final match in the NIA. This pair showed total commitment when they dives. Some of Koo and Tan shots were unbelivable and we were like: "how on earth did kkk/tbh did that? We definitely couldn't micmic their shots in our social play :p:p:D."

Cannot say they not interested in winning AE lah. If not interested, early rounds lost already.
The other SS & GP Gold are to collect ranking points.

Your analysis of TBH is right on target. He makes the wrong choice of shot during crucial moments, and that's probably due to nerves and fatigue. He's got to learn to play in front sometimes to conserve his energy for the end game.

Eh, there are shots I that I hit during my social play that not even the best can retrieve. Those framed shots that go at 45 degrees angles from where I actually intend to hit them. Those are killer shots. Problem is I have no idea how to consistently hit them!
