Hehe, I spoke to Anna Rice yesterday. She's been a regular fixture for Canada in WS and has since retired and coaches a bit at our club. I lamented the fact that this year's AE contained only 2 Canadians–Charmaine Reid and Nicole Grether (guess she must have got her citizenship) and no young blood. She said our young players will play Challenger level tournaments to bring up their level and rankings. Sad that Canada is still a ways behind. Being the nice Canadian that she is, Anna apologized (with a smile) for not being at the AE this year
Said Reid/Grether pair (see post #249) are giving a good account of themselves against the JPN pair of Mizuki/Reika 14-14
Jorgensen torched DPY 21-13 in the 1st game. Dicky also beat NTM 21-15 in the opener. Two upsets in the making?
