Boonsak Ponsana [3] almost got eliminated in the gruesome 1st round against a French player. Then after surviving that, he beat 3 Japanese players in a row. In another word, if Boonsak not there, Japanese would be dominate in that quarter.

    LD bt BP 21-11, 21-11.

Now, the final match, KKK/TBH vs JJS/LYD. The Astro commentator make me more sleepy only.

JJS/LYD bt KKK/TBH 21-9, 21-11. What a one way match. KKK/TBH never lead before or even tie the score except for 0-0 throughout this match.

What a waste of time staying awake to watch a terribly lopsided match, LYD-JJS bt KKK-TBH 21-9, 21-11

Yes, I think this is KKK/TBH worst defeat to JJS/LYD.

I'm a big KOR fan, but I'm disappointed after this match. I always try to root for MAS players, because I want MAS to keep their status as one of the "big" badminton nations, if possible ahead of Korea. But it seems that other countries invest in all categories, whereas Malaysia is living only through Lee Chong Wei :(

    You are.... WRONG!!! (hehe :p)

As predicted, Reiko and Shintaro burst into the final. I should be playing PAW, still have the touch :D

Conclusion: KKK-TBH don't seem to be determined enough to win, turning attacking opportunity into defence..not the other way around..and their defence sucked..JJS is having a great day, whacking down shots till kingdom comes..TBH's lift went out so many times. .KKK tried some fancy shots..failed miserably as usual..They are slow and not steady..forget about All England, Olympics 2012, WC if they played like that..don't talk about opponents from CHN, KOR, INA or DEN..they will have big problems even playing against JPN, TW, ENG players..

Ayane must have improved her play quite a bit over the last 1/2 year. Considering she's not that experienced, she dispatched WMC rather comfortably. Would like to have a chance to download this match to assess her progress.

Why are Blair/White seeded, while Ikeda/Shiota aren't? The Japanese pair is higher up in the World Rankings.
