Oh, they'll be back... Hmmm, I was told from my National Association (Canada) that as of May 2011, Grand Prix and higher tournaments will require women to wear skirts or dresses. I found a link here (scroll to Pg 5): http://www.badmintonindia.org/new/news/bwf_gen_competition_regulations_amended2010.pdf
In level 1 to 3 tournaments women must wear skirts or dresses . Sports clothing manufacturers should be busy designing and making active sportswear already. .
good news to some pervert bwf new regulation:all ladies players must wear shirt or dress on the tournament start from 1st of may 2011
In level 1 to 3 tournaments women must wear skirts or dresses . It says "In Level 1 to 3 tournaments women must wear skirts or dresses". I am sure many lower levels players will soon dress up like the top players too. .
Actually, rules are rules; although some would like to break them . Actually rules are rules, although some (including myself) would like to break them. I remember there was once I participated in a tournament wearing long white pants for my matches (like the great Wong Peng Soon did). At that time, everyone must wear white. The tournament organisers said that if I didn't wear white shorts, they won't let me play my matches. Some tournament (lower ones) are more lenient; When I told the organisers that I was feeling cold and I would like to play with my track suit on, they allowed me. But my track suit must be all white (which I did have). .
