Is there going to be a big difference in power? I think Armortec 900 att is one of the best offensive racket out there, so I am not sure if the meteor x80 will be all that. But I do know Victor is catching up to Yonex; not only with their prices but also with the spec and technology they offer in the rackets.

    What do you guys think?

I am a offensive player. Been playing badminton for about 8 years or so. I own lots of yonex racket such as: Armortec 900att, muscle power 100, arc saber Z slash, Nanospeed 9900. Also have others: Head metallix 10000, Caslone. I wanted to try out new rackets, so I got the Head metallix 10,000 but now I saw the meteor. I am wondering if it will be that powerful as described.

power mostly depends on the player and not so much the racket if you must ask.

Probably he means AT900Power since he is talking about the more offensive racket in Yonex range.

if you look on the shaft, it should say at900 power, not offensive
but i think we get the idea...
ryim hit the nail on the head
technique and tension is what i find to be the strongest determinant of how "powerful" your shots are
however, similar specs make it easier for your to adjust/overall feel of the racket so it's easier for you to adapt the techniques...

Yes, a meteor is very powerful, it'd probably kill us all. About the MX80...I'm not sure if its that powerful since no one here have tried it. But I would bet it's similar to the SW35. The AT900P is head heavier than the SW35 though. Other than that, I can't really tell you which is more powerful.

Yes tension n technique would be the factors for power but some rackets can't have high tension on them. I strung my armortec 900power to 29lb. I wonder if that's bad. I want a higher tension but I am not sure if the racket will last.
