Hi guys, Since my Yonex Z-slash's broken last week. Im thinking to get 2 Victor rackets. I play double with offensive style. I will get a BS10, but i havnt decided which racquet will be the second one. Please give me some suggestions..
Don't know why, but I always agree with you ! Though both racquets are different, they are complementary in the sense that when you are tired of using the SW35, you can always switch to the BS10 as it is less demanding and faster to defend with though power is down also.
If I were to make a decision, I would just grab two identical models to minimize the chance of having difficulties switching. I would go for 2 SW35s
Spira 21 is a good replacement for Z slash, IMO. Slim frame profile just like Z, cut through the air just like Z, but has a normal frame size
U mean to say "BS10+BS11, BS10+Spira21 or BS10+" Coz the number 10 & 11 comes with bravesword....superwaves are 35, 36
ops, im sorry to confuse you. Yeah, like u mentioned, what i mean is "BS10 + BS11", "BS10+SPIRA21" or "BS10 + Anything else" Yonex is abit overpriced compared to Victor...
Is there any reason for SW35? According to some review i've read, SW35 is "super" head heavy style (compared with other model). Isnt it a disadvantage while playing in doubles?
Well the SW35 isn't "super" head heavy, however it is head heavy. Think about it like a Arc10 with a bit more head weight, but not a lot more. Head heavy rackets can be a advantage and disadvantage in doubles. You will get more power with a head heavy racket, but your defence will be compromised slightly. Although with the SW35 the defence is still reletively good. You said you play with a "offensive style" that to me means that you play aggressively, and tend to be a back court player. If this is the case then the SW35 is for you. even at the front court, the racket is still fairly quick, although obviously not as quick as a Nanospeed or something like that.
I'm hoping the MX80 will be a tad more head heavier than the SW35. After using it for a while now, I feel that I can handle a bit more weight in the head while being extra stiff like the SW35. But the SW35 is definitely head heavy but not so much like the Armortecs out there. Its a quick racket, just not as quick as those headlights or the Braveswords
To each their own... I was tickled by the MX80 for being not that head heavy and yet stiff. I like the specs but I'm still very happy with my TC700 so its a tall order for any competing rackets. I suspect this racket will be right up the alley of the NS9900.
1+ I have this combination. SW35 for XD and BS10 for MD. The SW35 performs great at the back. It's not sluggish and defend very well. The BS is good at the back, too but not as powerful but quicker due faster swingspeed. At the net and defence it's better. The SP22 is faster than the BS10 and has a great defence and perfoms best at the net and front. Smashing needs a bit more efforts. my SW35 (3U, strung) with Karakal Super Pu and Nano 60 as overgrip with slightly overlapping BP: 301 mm, Stiff my BS10 (3U, strung) with Karakal Super Pu and Nano 60 as overgrip with slightly overlapping BP: 295 mm, same stiffness like SW35 my SP22 (3U, strung) with Karakal Super Pu and Nano 60 as overgrip with slightlyoverlapping BP: 290 mm, a bit less stiff than SW35 I recommend SW35 + SP22 if you want two very different rackets. SW35 and BS10 if you want same stiffness but different quickness. SW35+SW35 if you want a superb attacking racket. BS10+BS10 if you want a superb doubles racket which is faster and fit attacking players.
I'd actually get the BS11 over the BS10 in this case, because I reckon it's better from the back of the court than the BS10 (it's slightly more head heavy), and it's stiffness is more in-line with the Z-Slash that you used to have so there'll be less of a learning curve. As to a second Victor, well hey, everyone has a SW35 so just get one of those too and see what you think.
I bought one SW35 last week. I felt my overall power increases at lot compared with yonex z-slash Hopefully, BS10 with 3U will arrive this week!! Thx for suggestion, guys~
