By my clock you have 5 minutes left in your 20's. Enjoy it while you still can. But don't worry, 30 doesn't hurt. (or perhaps it's the dementia that sets in at 31 that makes you forget how much it really hurts)
It's just a number. Lamenting on getting older is like saying that time is 'not fair' - not only is it futile, it also doesn't make sense. If anything the society is putting great pressure on the individual by stressing on 'age markers', always along the lines of a person being less and less important or capable as they age on - cow dung. 'Better to live an extraordinary life of your own choosing than that of an ordinary one like everyone else' went a wise old saying. Imagine a child dying of car accident before his tenth birthday or a stillborn baby - makes you appreciate it even more, no? All that aside, happy birthday mate - mine was last year.
