You mean tension is determined by how the stringer uses the machine?

The tension is adjustable in all machines to a tension specified by the customer. If you are a racquet owner and you want your racquet to be strung at, say 23lbs, you should tell this to the stringer. Normally, a stringer will string a racquet to a tension as specified by the customer, or will at least ask the customer his required tension. However, if you leave the tension to the stringer, then yes, he will string your racquet at any tension he thinks is acceptable to you.

I strung my Ti-10 3U with BG-85 at 22x24 tension. So far, i don't have any problem with the tension...i can execute drops, clears and smashes to perfection. The 22x24 tension IMHO is average for Ti-10s.

36lbs.?! For me, around here in SoCal, the normal range is a true 20-28lbs. What strings can go 36lbs.? I've only tried BG-65 to 30/32lbs.
