Just got an email from the distrubitor in Canada that Panda shipped out the rackets today. So hopefully before but probably near xmas time for me. Concentrate on exams time hehe
make sense to handle clients who are further away first. that way, everyone will get their xmas presents on time.
The above Panda cannot know for certain. What Panda does know is this... PLEASE READ: IMPORTANT INFORMATION Thank you for purchasing a Panda Power Ultra PRO high performance badminton racket. PLEASE NOTE: 1) Frame: has some marbling or swirling texture. This is normal. The marbling is the raw graphite finish. We have found that rackets perform better, are more stable, and more durable without paint and decals on the frame. 2) Shaft: consists of three-pieces which are integrated and tapered. The shaft is thickest at the cone and tapers upward. There are two noticeable “bumps” or transition points on the shaft. This is normal. Utilizing a tapered shaft maximizes shaft strength and power. 3) Racket Weight: actual and swing. Actual is the actual weight of the racket (+/- 0.2g). The swing weight is what the racket swings or feels like. In other words, the Ultra PRO swings about 1.5 to 2.0 grams heavier than its actual weight. Again, thank you for your consideration and continued support! -Some Panda cataloging and stringing away, furiously
How do panda rackets compare to Li Ning rackets? thanks, also could someone please PM me the location of Yan in melbourne australia, thanks.
Available: Ultra Pros in weights: 85-88g, BP285-290 from custom gripping. Panda cannot stress enough how grips can alter a racket's BP and weight. Panda received a request for an Ultra Pro at ~86-87g, BP287. None of the UPs are any lower in BP than 295 but have many that are 82g in weight so Panda did this: 1) Panda guesstimated that an 82-82.5g, BP297-298 racket with an RK Nano would get the requested specs. Actual specs used: 82.4g, BP297 2) Removed the original grip which is very light at ~5.5-6.5g 3) Replaced with a RK Nano replacement grip which is ~9-10g. Result: only replacing the original grip yielded: Original OEM specs: 82.4g, BP297 New specs: 86.5g, BP287 Potential Caveat: The RK Nano is thicker than the OEM grip so the grip size is slightly larger but not significant. Yay for Panda! ...and the customer.
Yes, but by the time you add strings, the specs become 91g and more significantly bp becomes 290-292mm. Time to add lead inside the handle!
Sir, we don't factor in the string and how it increases the weight and BP because it's necessary on all rackets so it's cancels out. If you are using rackets that are BP290 or less after stringing, then you are really using a headlight rackets.
Sorry Master Panda if I wasn't too clear at this late time at night. But what I was trying to point out is that your nano replacement grip amount to an added 5g to the handle, which is no different than for some (most?) users like me who just add a thin overgrip like RKEP g10 (which weighs approx 5g) on top of the original grip.
Not the same because: 1) When you add an overgrip, you are adding significantly more thickness to the handle. 1/2 to 1 grip size larger depending how you wrap it. 2) Panda is trying to maintain the same grip thickness. If Panda wanted the exact same grip size, he could have used other replacement grips that were lighter too. Racket Manufacturers tweak rackets by adding lead tape to the handle and/or glue inside the handle.
Will the New specs: 86.5g, BP287 racquet will play the same as a 'normal' (ie one where yo haven't changed) racquet with the same specs?
Lucky how you guys get to play with it first. Wish I lived near Panda So is there any that are 82g and BP305?
