I think he just outlasts and outdefends Taufik.... continous push to the back of the court and rallying.

Taufik's own smashes were very weak in that WC final as well. He couldn't really get through.

Agree with this. In fact, SDK even better in term of game plan, but CJ is definitely way more stable, consistent and better mentality.

Fair comment. 7 hours to go,to me, I think players at the top are about the same,

it boils down to form and condition on that day.i agree with you mostly.

Tonight's outcomes may be quite revealing and give useful insights .

Totally agree with you...it comes down to form on game day. The better player wins. Somehow, if it is LD, I think LCW tend to respect him way too much but CJ, I think LCW treats him as equal.

I think the opposite of you....I think LD will romp over Park, straights...LCW since 2005 has improved so much, his defense is the best in the circuit and I used to joke on his featherweight smash but now, his smash is sharp, accurate and hard, and sneaky with those cross court thingie. I only suspect his mental but then that is if the opponent is LD. I would agree with you that LCW has peaked but not sliding down...yet...watching the BP match, that a heck of a play by LCW, I am impressed. If LCW just play his game, he will win, not easy though. We shall see.

LCW didnt look too good against other players so far, something about a knee injury?
Looking back recently, I haven't seen a match between LCW & CJ, will be good to see who's deciding to attack first!

then maybe the fittest player must be Park Sung Hwan.

    (assuming he has no injury).

    Playing catch-up

Are we going to see this tonight in the singles, lead 7-8 points, then coast, then a run of points again?

Seems like in certain games, the game is still played like the old 15 points system.

I got a bad feeling for lee chong wei today. I really hope he will win, but looking at his performance in Asian Games 2010, he isn't doing that well. Hopefully, he can win Chen Jin today.

2010 Asian Games Individual Event Semi-Finals: Lee Chong Wei-vs-Chen Jin

    .
As I see it; Chen Jin could get an instruction from LYB to make LCW tired.

LYB could tell CJ this - Win or lose is not as important as to make LCW tired.

IMHO, if LCW cannot win the first game, this match would last more than 1 hour.

Regarding who would win, I guess it's 51% to LCW : 49% to CJ.

Why would LYB want to tire Chong wei ? I mean i know that he hopes that he won't be fit when he face LD...but wouldn't it better for LYB to give instruction and hope that Chen Jin wins? That would confirm two medals for China:gold and silver.

But anyway, is hard to instruct a person to win. All i can say is Jia You Chong wei !!
