IF (and a big if) CJ did anything to the shuttle would he do it every time and to be caught as mentioned by some members here.

Taufik has complained about the same issue with ChenJin a few times during various matches. Not only this time.

what damage? Having Taufik mentioned in my post? Come on, your Taufik is not that vulnerable, is he?;)

Without Taufik's accusation, I am afraid nobody would start the thread in the first place. Like it or not, Taufik is in.

why not? CJ is as guilty as anybody else then, including Taufik.

I am not getting personal with you. What I meant is that you probably were not here long enough to know past postings and arguments between different set of supporters. If I offended with my uncultured language, I am sorry.

Just like every single time, when CHN win a match, there's always negative comments. When others win, there's the congrats / kings / greatness...

Guys, this is not a local gym match, but under the observation from all sort of officials. If there's obvious violations, you think they will let it go on? Whether a shuttle is modified or not, both players will play the same shuttle, so they have equal chance to win or lose a rally...

Anyway, I do not want to waste my time to say anything any more. The funny part was, before the match, I was talking with one local player (also BFer) above the match. We were joking around that please let Taufik win, otherwise, the forum will be filled up with "cheats" "dirty", etc... See what happened...

No need to apologize. I understand you. I am old enough to know things. I'm ChenJin's fan, and I would not allow anyone to damage his image without solid evidences. That is why I am obsessed with this thread. I know I could just ignore some posts, but I can't. I try to clear things up. Hopefully people get my point.

With all this discussion here, I doubt there will be any opportunity in the future. We may just have to rely on past videos.

Me too. I just want to see players win fair and square and not be accused of using underhand tactics. For this instance, let us wait for more concrete evidence.

The official have the final say about the shuttle's playing condition. If they belive its "very very slow", I am sure they will change a shuttle. If they do not agree, I can only say the player "thinking too much", for whatever reason.

Only if TH can defence himself here, then i will shut up.

So just because he complained to the ref, now he's head is in a choping block here??? It does not sound fair to me.

Then you should start a thread about TH modifying the shuttle :)

Man, if Taufik's head were on a chopping block in this thread, I am wondering where was Chen Jin's head now:D

There's no need to argue dont you think?

Video clips will be released but it proves nothing, just people appearing to handle new shuttles, they need bionic fingers to
    inflict real damage.

All sorts of mind games go on in court at the spur of themoment.

Saying that CJ cheated is definitely taken out of proportion.

Taufik never made an issue out of the badminton court so end of issue.

We still need to satisfy ourselves the technical issue, how to manipulate a shuttle undetected, does it need lots of

practice or are bionic fingers required when cameras home in on you.?

Cj never hid the shuttle, he seems to love stroking new shuttles like stroking a pet, it is done in full view of his opponent, spectators, cameras and the officials.Does he think the rest of the world are blind or fools? Or is he like
many baddy players a good actor?

I think the professional players who are actually hitting the shuttle can make a more accurate judgement on the shuttle's speed, compared to a spectator.

Yes in a way, but the official makes the final call, which apply to both players. Also, the official can closely exam and touch the shuttle, and watch the shuttle in play LIVE, so s/he is definitely not a spectator like us purely rely on TV camera angle and Youtube.

An experienced official should be able to tell whether a shuttle is seriously damaged or being modified, purely based on his eyes, hands and years of experience. Therefore, if the official believes a shuttle is still in playable condition (obviously, not very very slow, as the official himself is also watching the match LIVE), he will make the right call most of the time.

Seeriously, you think the officials will risk WC title match and his/her career, to save a few more free shuttles???

I don't think that Chen Jin defeated Taufik Hidayat with any "foul play" involved

    .
I don't like the word "cheating" being used. If there was any "foul play" involved, please allow the tournament officials to decide.

Our BWF World Championships is the of our highest ranked Badminton tournaments. BWF selects top officials/referees/umpires to supervise this tournament.

I don't think that when Chen Jin defeated Taufik Hidayat, there was any "foul play" involved.

The problem is, a lot of ppl here always want to add extra "flavors" to CHN titles... Go figure...
