This is insane. I wonder if they will play to 100-100 in the fifth set. Or they still can't break serve, what if the fifth set go up to 200-200 and last for 5 days? Everyone needs to wait till they finish?

I quite like Kuerten too, in fact for some reasons i like the clay court specialists a lot... Sergi Bruguera, Kuerten, Muster, Moya, Berasategui ...and the list goes on. But like i said, i like to watch them play but they ar never my idol. Just like Sampras, Agassi, etc. ;)
As for Roger's second round match, i don't know what to say....Sure, he is not the same 2008 Federer in Wimbledon, but i must say this year, his 1st and 2nd round opponents are no mere fluke either...they played superbly and were hitting so hard. In a way it is "unlucky" for FedEx ...not to mention his side of the draw is so much tougher (ON PAPER) compare to Nadal's half. (with Djoker, Hewitt, Roddick, etc all in this "group of death" half)

However, the main news yesterday is the Mahut-Isner match of the tennis history. 59-59 (and we thought last year's FedEx-Roddick Final is a record :p) and going on for the next day ..... Whoever wins it will be a spent force going into the next round ....Good luck man. :D :D :D

    Haha...
Actually we don't know, perhaps today they'll play 10 mins and then finished !
Imagine how stressed may be the referee if all the tournament is delayed :D

What's the betting that the match lasts only 4 more games? I think it's going to end quickly

I mean Isner could barely prop himself up, yet Mahut couldn't finish him off. It's amazing there were only 3 break points (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

This match has attained gladiatorial status.

..i wonder if both players will stroll out on gurneys tomorrow morning??..i think they should move the match to centre court & finish it there and make it the match of the day!..

The worse part about it is that you play the next day and your warm ups could actually last longer than the tie-breaker itself:(!

So playing an epic battle a day before and falling in a whiff on the next day, that's preposterous in a sense and yet that's the way it should be;)!

Fortunately you can still face the reality. Your idol almost lost in 1st round and barely survived in 4 the next round. He should be thankful to have a cake draw. But Djokovic, Hewitt or Roddick will slaughter him.:D

There are only 5 break points in that 118 games played, 2 for Mahut and 3 for Isner. Many questioned Mahut's decision to suspend the match when Isner looked half-dead. Some experts said both Isner and Mahut were playing not to lose instead of playing to win. BTW, I picked Mahut to win and it's worth 24 PAW points. Let's see!

This is stupid not to have TB in the 5th. This is too cruel for the losing party. Women and men having the prize money?

    Izzy does it!

    Izzy Does It!

We can finally breathe. John Isner beat Nicolas Mahut 70-68 in the fifth set, ending an 11-hour, 5-minute match -- the longest ever.

WIMBLEDON, England -- John Isner has won the longest tennis match on record by beating Nicolas Mahut 70-68 in the final set at Wimbledon.
Picking up at 59-59 in the fifth set Thursday, the match continued on serve with no break points until the American hit a backhand passing shot to finish the contest in front of a packed crowd on Court 18.
Isner finished with a total of 112 aces and Mahut 103.
The first-round match surpassed the 11-hour mark stretching over three days. The fifth set alone went over 8 hours.

    They did not:)!

On the other hand Nadal lost the first set...it's not game over yet but your Express' psychological play (Fed Express employing the Losing Express tactic) seems to be working. Everybody thinks they'll be crowned...;)

On the other hand, Murray was poised in front of the Queen :D!

    tckang,

Finally, Rafa won in 5 sets. See that psychological tactics of your Express causes:D? It took Rafa off guard (he must've been on cruise control);). Meanwhile, to say it again, Murray performed well in front of the Monarch;).

Interesting, Maria S. is using an unmarked Prince racquet and it is not an O3. It might be a proto-type or is Prince is not paying her and Jelena J is using an older model O3 unmarked... Is it true that Prince is in that deep of money trouble?
