i admit i dont know TH's bank account figures but do u really think TH built his spanking new badminton training facility using his and only his dough??
Simply looking at endorsements and winnings, I believe LD earn the most. But after deductions to associations, unofficial money, etc etc. Then is argumentable. Nobody will ever know.
Really? Wow I also heard from one interview that LCW plans to retired after 2012 Olympic to persue business career. So i thought he must have a strong business background
Without denying there are many bad Generals, there are many ways a good general can earn big money "Honesty" in INA.
hahaha i dont know exactly, it could be something like that But hey TH is a big name so it comes with a price premium. At the end of the day its a good business venture
Of course not his dough. That's is why there is a such thing Called investors. You have to leverage in what u have and who u know. There is no shame asking for help and assistance.
Lets not forget Chandra Wijaya also opened a similar thing as TH. Does he have a rich wife too? Maybe not. Look, there are plenty interest out there for big names players. These player also know how to use their popularity and expertise for the good of all badminton stake holders. Another example would be Heriyanto Arbi with his Flypower brand making big bugs as well as sponsoring MK/HS, a deal worth 6Billion RP (USD650K) over the three years contract.
according to China's forbes list that is published in April this year, Lin Dan is ranked #7 on the Athletes list and #75 in the overall list. On the athletes ranking list, he is behind NBA player Yao Ming, track and field athlete Liu Xiang, NBA player JianXXXX, diver Guo jingjing and two female tennis players. http://sports.qq.com/a/20100429/001219.htm
LCW doesnt has that much commercial money like LD but he has a Kai Yeh (Sugar Daddy) that teach him how " TO DO BUSINESS" & sponsor him ... THe $$$.. he earned might be triple of LD.. if those take into consideration...
We should be happy if those top badminton players are earning big bucks from the lucrative endorsements + winning prices. Let's hope badminton will catch up with Tennis, in term of winning prices, within the next decade. The big sponsors do make a big impact in the sports... eg: some of the top EPL players are earning astronomical salary PER WEEK... yes, PER WEEK... I hope one day Msia can produce another LCW and conquer the badminton world and winning $$$...
if lcw can have a successful side business, he will definitely make more money than LD. then again, who knows what LD will do in the future. he might start his own business after he retires after 2012 olympics.... a lot of retired badminton players have their own businesses and are very sucessful. just look at han jian, yangyang, zhao jianhua, dong jiong, etc. they either have their own brand clothes, or badminton schools/clubs.
