Can somebody give me information about this racket? I've searched for it and only found little tidbits of information here and there. How does it compare to modern racket (is it old at all?), what's the design like, etc. Thanks.

It is about $100. Very good racket for such a price. My opinion is that it surpasses all the low end ~ mid end yonex rackets. I have seen people who like the racket so much that they bought extras for back up.

It is full black frame with a golden dragon on the shaft.

I think it is much older, more than 2/3 years.

It's one of the famous rackets of HL, but I wouldn't say it's the best HL racket because it depends on personal tastes.

actually, i wouldn't say its that comparable. if you string at very high tensions, the racket may not hold up. however, it feels and plays very well.

i wouldn't say analogous, yonex rackets feel something special to me. however, the quality is quite high. the only reason i bring it up is because it has been called on before, and on mine, it seems like the grommet holes of the racket are bending inward at certain spots.:(

I for one have the ben lee 8800. Overall ill give you a summary about it. The racket is more of a contral then power. It is a defensive racket becuase of its light head.It is about 84~85 of weight. It is very cheap for a good racket. For about only 90$.It is very durable I had drop it tons and tons of time. The dragon is the best racket i found within the HL series. Compare to other rackets I found the ben lee to be very light overall.

The dragon is a very good racket. It does pack a bit of power. The best part I noticed about the dragon is that I always do a better backhand with it. I think it's because it's light. Cheap, and durable. I would recommend it to intermediate, advanced players. I have more than 3 dragons. I think the dragon would surpass the mid-level yonex racket and for a better value too.

i have two HL rackets and neither of them is the dragon, however, whenever i play with them, there's a certain feel to it that communicate each shot to you differently than any other rackets. in fact, i am thinking of getting a dragon since it's still on sale at my local badminton supply store.

I chose the HL 9000Ti over the 8800 dragon with absolutely no regrets. I get better power with the 9000Ti. Still use it today as backup. Very light and very good defense racket.

I recall the 8800 is a longer racket and throws me off on the timing.
