The weight of a badminton player?

    Hi,

    I just wanted to know , how much some of the professional players are? If people could give examples , e.g the players height and weight it would be really interesting to see how heavy they really are.

    Interesting question, why not check out wikipedia; that's what I do to retrieve that kind of information. That's if no one can help you out here.

    id say anywhere between 70~80kg is ideal for a proffessional badmitno player 165~180cm

    140-154 kilograms is a good weight at 1.78 to 1.81 metre.

    .... Thats seems extremely heavy, how tall is that in inches? I weigh half that.

    Are you refering to lbs instead of kgs?
    140-154 kgs =308 to 338 lbs:eek:

    1.78 to 1.81meter equals 5'8" to 5' 9".
    That's good.

    Maybe he meant 140~154 pounds, since that would be exactly 10~11 stone.
    I think most of the top players are at the lower end of the weight range suggested by Dyrtla (Taufik=64kg; Lin Dan=72kg), with some of the taller European players weighing a little more (Nathan Robertson=82kg).
