    Review of Victor Bravesword 11

    String/tension: NBG98 @ 26lbs
    Weight/grip: 3U/G2 (Similar to yonex G5)
    Grip: Gamma Supreme
Style of play: Doubles, Offensive/control style

    Impressions:

Look back at my previous post.

    Gameplay:

At first it was a little weird. The BS11 swung like it was somewhat headlight but from feel it was head heavy. I almost felt like the top half of the head was light but the bottom half was a littler heavier. But after a while it felt fine. It was really fast! Faster than the BS09 by 2 times. Many of my shots were mishits because it was difficult adjusting to the speed of the racket, but eventually I got the hang of it. Smashes packed more of a punch and control was superb! Controlling the bird was very precise due to the slightly stiffer shaft.

    Defense:

So again, it's a very fast racket! Defense was slightly better compared to the BS09. The racket was light and maneuverable. Not much to say, except very impressive!

    Power:

So here was a common problem with the BS09. It played well in defence, but lacked power. Solution? The BS11. The BS11 was a little stiffer and the balance on the head was "unique" which all provided more power. IMO, my snaps felt more lively with the BS11 compared to the BS09.

    Net play:

Simply EASY! Though i lost a little more feel probably because I was using NBG 98's when i normally use BG80's.

    Conclusion:

So this review was fairly short, but I kept it straight to the point. Im quite impressed with the BS11, and it was a very nice upgrade from the BS09. I forgot to mention the awesome glossy/shiney PAINTJOB!

Comparison to BS09 ( look back at my BS09 review):

    Power: BS11 > BS09
    Defence: BS11> BS09
    Net play: BS11 = BS09
    Feel: BS11 > BS09
    Maneuverablility: BS11 > BS09
    Control: BS11 > BS09

*Note: I did not use numbers to compare simply because I would need to change my score allocation when comparing to the BS09*

Hope this closes the gap of whether or not the BS11 is a suitable upgrade for the BS09. My answer? Yes =)

Are you sure that LYD is going to use BS 10?

As far as i know he is currently injured.... hmm i think coming from AT 800 DEF, the BS 09 is the ideal racket for him..

BS09 is too heavy. That's probably why LYD got injured in the first place :p

i havent tried other brave sword series.. but comparing to other yonex and wilson racquets it is relevantly light.

as well i think the bs09 is like a light version of the mp99 with good control and defense with sufficient power.

Yesterday I bought B.S 9 at Chris shop.. i find the racket not bad.. not really head heavy as mention by other brothers in forum. I find this racket a bit similar to Nanospeed 9900.

I used it for training last night, using string Victor VS850, tension 28.

    Rating :

    Drive: 8.2/10

    Push : 8.5/10

    Lobbing : 8.5/10

    Overall : 8.5/10

    Conclusion : satisfactory:)

For bs09, is there a lot of differences between the 3U and 4U? What are the advantages and disadvantages of both? thanks.

Agree with Ferrerkiko, it does feel similar with NS9900. Differences, NS9900 slightly lighter overall and stiffer than BS09.

I oredi sold my NS9900, and just got my second BS09 as backup. =)

Tested this racquet on Sunday morning, this is indeed a fast racquet is even faster than my current Gosen Miratour 990 but slight less power than Gosen Miratour 990 as the Gosen Miratour comes with muscle power frame.

maybe so but I don't like stiff racquet as responds time and reflect is a bit slow compare to a medium stiff racquet

I recently got a BS09...to try something different for a change (I use SW35 95% of the time now) and I have to say I am very impressed with the BS09. During warm ups and drills it feels less solid and stiff (since its medium stiffness) but once you get into a quick doubles game, it really shines. Its not a powerhouse like the SW35 but boy its quick and the speed makes up for the loss in power.

Realised Victor had also 'updated' the Brave Sword 9 and removed the word 'Brave' on the frame. Has anyone tested this 'updated' version? Is it more headlight as per the specs?

Is the price of the new version similar to the old version? Wouldn't want to see it being priced similar to BS10 & BS11 as BS09 over here is relatively cheaper.
