    Exactly

If they do a round robin, I'm quite sure Mak/Tan or Lim/Chan can beat them.

How many more chances we have to give Fuzzy? Is it because of some quota again!?

I think the issue here is the quota issue.
Last time, they send Arif as 4th MS also probably because of the quota

Fuzzy should have been dropped for SS, period.

Now that I see your post, they could also lose to Ong Jian Guo/Goh Wei Shem

Also no good record against Mak/Tan or Chan/Lim.

I think they will survive another 2 years, simply because of the quota issue.

Other countries would have already had them replaced, if they were their 2nd MD. And send Mak/Tan and Lim/Chan for more exposure since they are still not old.

Sacrificing success for quota. Can't believe any sports organization will do this.

Can Fuzzy win any more tournaments this year? I don't think so. Will BAM continue to send Fuzzy to more tournaments next year? Definitely.

Haiseh, dont so :mad: lah. A lot of sports organisation in Msia also do this.
Think of it this way, it will push the other players to do even better, that will prove it, like LCW, WCH.

Three consecutive round one exits in the super series tournaments. Progressed to the semi-finals but lost tamely to Jung Jae Sung/Lee Yong Dae in the Super Series Masters Finals. I don't think they can cut the grade after their impressive battle against Cai/Fu in the WC where they almost beat the world champions in straight sets...

Rexy to Fairuz-Zakry: Finals best time to shine

“Even if they had gone for other Super Series tournaments, they might have suffered early exits as well as they did in the Malaysian and Swiss Opens.
“However, I’m happy with the way they are shaping up for the challenges in the Thomas Cup Finals. They are showing character and fighting spirit in training.
“The Thomas Cup is a very important event for the country and I hope they will rally to the challenge if they are called up for duty. This is the best time for them to achieve something good.”

    Mixed doubles?

Was Zakry ever in mixed doubles?
Wow, mixed doubles...? I don't think so, they never had success in mixed doubles, not to mention men doubles where they only got 2 back to back super series titles and thats it.

Fairuz should be 27 by the end of this year, I think BAM will use him and Zakry for another year at least before they are exhausted. After this, I hope BAM will give Mak/Tan some exposure and send them as the second pair behind Koo and Tan.

sumtimes i dont understand what does it mean by "back up" squad... firstly, i tot back up squad is for a junior player below 20 yrs old... but when i heard ong soon hock and his partner's age are 24-25 yrs old, i was surprise.. they shud have been in the elite squad ordy...

meanwhile, i think mak-tan will be malaysia's no.2 in 2 yrs time behind kkk-tbh... all they need to do is to keep on developing their games and at the same time, try to make an upset in international event... convince the coaches and both of them will surely get their place for the next tc...:D

Mak/Tan beat them today in the simulation matches, where the crowd was supposed to be cheering for our TC players, Fuzzy. All right, I know you guys might be bored with me mentioning this everywhere, but I guess this proves it.

If Mak/Tan can keep their focus in games and are more consistent while continuing to refine their skills, I can see them as Malaysia's no. 2 MD already.

The way i see it is to use Fuzzzies only for the 1st round matches. Eventho they are quick but they do lack a killer smash ala TBH's. That's why when they meet a very good defensive pair , they cant put the shuttle away and end up making errors.
I think based on current form, OSH/HTH shud be used in the more impt matches. OSH/HTH has also proven that their game can be lifted when playing to a partisan crowd. (Part of the reasons why they were selected).
