    World meet hopes in jeopardy

    http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/articles/71KM/Article/index_html

"We are trying our best to put up a decent Thomas Cup squad and this is the reason the back-up players have been included for the European tournaments. If they do well, they can earn a spot in the Thomas Cup and one of them may also get picked for the World Championships," said Rashid.

"The back-up players have to work really hard as their rankings are low but if they can produce results, they will have the chance to play in the World Championships. We will go on merit and not reputation."

It's not a news of course, but about MAS, the crowd used to love Kkk/Tbh the past years at FO ;)

unfortunately for you, LCW wasn't very successful at FO 08 the last time he played in France, and he lost to TH.
By the way, he won the FO 07 against Bao ;)

The back to back tourneys, the WC then 2+ months later the French Open, being held in Paris will be interesting. I wonder if either or both LD and LCW will compete in the latter tourney??..

Err, 'bout snacks i think they will be very "classical" :D

About giving you news I'll do my best but I'm limited by my bad English :s
Meanwhile I'll try to translate you the news from the official WC website and Badzine's :D
I hope 3g or wifi is avaible in the arena then I can describe "live" the matches as if you were in the arena :D

Not likely given the proximity to the Asian Games.

I guess for snacks, they'll be selling approximatively the same ones as in the French Open, which means, different kind of sandwich (using baguettes) with cheese, ham, tuna, chicken and butter with cheese. They also sell (of course) basics sodas like coke, fanta, ice tea etc etc

You will find different kind of cakes as well, like brownies, donuts, biscuits
and coffee, tea, coffee with milk if you get any tired !

About the midterm entertainment, i'm sure it's getting prepared but we are currently clueless about any special exhibitions during the tournaments.
Others news about the WC 2010 will come up asap when we'll get much more informations

As far as I know the French players Laura Choinet/Baptiste Careme (XD pair) and Matthieu Lo Ying Ping (2nd French MD) went in a school on Monday. They met 10 years old children, played.with them and done some activities, the children asked a few questions, and the players signed some autographs.

i really hope LD n LCW will meet in the final of WC this year... it will be a great match to watch... im quite dissapointed to watch LD lost to Bao Chun Lai in AE10... whatever it is, LCW still champion of AE10 even if his opponent in the final was not LD... hehe

Lin Dan has always been targetting the WC in Paris, i can't be absolutely sure, but just by betting, i can already see Lin Dan in the final ..
He will have several months to practice hard and get back to his usual form (unless injuries come along the way .. something not really predictable)
However, IMO, although i'm completely in admiration over Lin Dan & Lee Chong wei's careers i would love to see again new faces like we had in the AE final with kenichi Tago, which was honestly .. really refreshing ! ;)

I am sure there are gonna be plenty of snacks (junk food) and side entertainments thrown in (young girls dancing away) beside the proper matches but its more suitable for the young ones.:p

    Not for you.

    :D:D
