No, the event is categorised under BWF level 3 (GOLD)

So LD only has to reach quarter final

LD needs match practice to fine tune his form to OLY level...the real targets are TC and more importantly, WC and AG.

Then, perhaps Lyb will ask LD to loose at ABC if he reaches an high stage no ? If his plan
Is to have LD as Ms 2 at TC..

I am sure Li Yongbo knows the dangers of putting LD other than at MS1.

With LD MS2, China will be most vulnerable to the uncle-powered squad from Denmark (1 strong MS1 + 2 reasonable MS2 and 3, and 2 strong MD - both finalists of the 100th All England).

I am thinking the same too, DEN has a good chance of winning. DEN has better odds over MAS, over INA, over KOR and even 50-50 against CHN. If DEN can take 1 MS, then DEN has a chance:D

put TC aside, the number 1 question now is why LD is in BAC?
to win it? of course.....but what will come after that? for
    seeding of TC??

Most of the Bcers here think LD should win this ABC,.....and no one has complaint about it,.....not like some time ago, when people said LCW should win the SSM 2009 in JB.....hahahaha !

If LD be the MS2 of CHN squad in the TC, imagine WCH vs him.
WCH probably has the chance but its slim. [ 0.0000005% ]

Currently WCH does not have more than 10% chance against any of China's top 4 anyway... Remember him vs BCL in 08 Thomas cup? Massacre...

    Do you know why??..

..the reason why LD is in the BAC is he wants to complete all the major badminton titles..Then his next target is the AG..Why? Because after he retires and most of us here are left to argue about his accomplishments as a player, he'll have all of the titles covered: WC title, check! AE title, check! Olympics title, check! Thomas Cup title, check! Sudirman Cup title, check! BAC title, check! AG title, check!

Of course, he's still missing the EAG title, and the 3 South East Asia titles..unless he gets them before he retires..;)

..i would consider the BAC a semi-major (just like the EC; CWG is similar to AG, EAG is more similar to SEAG, all regional games)..For SSMF, i'd say, is in the same level as the Grand Prix Final several yrs back (it was a culmination tourney for the entire yr); i'd consider that also a semi-major tourney..
IMO, the real/true "major" tourneys are the AE, WC and OG (because all three include players from all over the world)..

LD would won't wanna reveal his tactic and play before a major like for example the upcoming thomas cup. Or Its about 'the thing'.. it could be many factors though....
