let me take a guess... tho i don't think it's it... if the shuttle was head heavy, then it should turn faster then the feather shuttle?

Also, strings can break faster using plastics.

I think it doesn't come only from weight but also from cocks' structure... plastic ones are one-piece made, without empty spaces into the skirt while feather cocks have feathers inserted one by one... i guess that's one of the reasons for the feather shuttle to turn faster =)

I have found out that thin strings definitely hv a short span when playing with plastic..
1.Head Super power 69 lasted abt 40 games.
    2.Zymax 67 lasted 2 games( I was hell bent on smashing :))
3.Ashaway Micro Legend lasted 4 games.

I'm glad that I own a stringing machine..Just strung my APM 95 with Yonex BG 70 pro y'day..supposedly it will last long wout loosing tension..
I guess I'll hv to stay with more durable strings wout compromising power and repulsion..

But is there such a string out there?????

Nightbird - Whoa good observation about the strings xD

I just restrung my racket to 23x25 with BG 80. What I'm curious about is that the lady told me that BG 80 is thicker than BG 70 Pro, I thought it was the opposite. But I'm not sure, I like BG 80 anyway :p

That's what I said ... But she insisted. Or is it due that she favors 80 more and or it costs $2 more? Lol.

Maybe she thought 80 is a bigger number then 70 therefore it is thicker

Next time ask her which ones the pro uses ;).

    I've tried BG80, 85, 68Ti, NGB95, 66, 70pro for plastics and I prefer the 70pros.

Because plastics already feel harder/heavier on impact compared to feathers, all those thin strings he mentioned feel very hard on the hand on impact which will tire you out quicker.

At 26lbs, other then BG70pro, the rest of the strings tend to snap within a week. For the execption of BG65 (that I have tried anyways), but I don't like using the 65s.
