Chen QQ/Zhao TT are really hopeless, look at the score line in the last 2 games.. its time for Chn to try out new pairings on XD.. i think Wang Wei/Zhang Jiewen has potential to go far and hope they can mk it to the Olympics with good performance in the coming ABC (praying they will get a good draw instead of meeting top seeds in early stages)...

The Thais really dominated what match... first set they lost due to its their first meeting against each other . After the they took both 2nd and 3rd set 15-2 , 15-2.

I guess China has been experimenting with other XD pairs all along but they haven't been doing well either. Best result of the other pairs, from what I can remember, was Zheng Bo/Zhang Jiewen in the finals of Sing Open last year, but the pair has since parted. Full credits to the Thais. Saralee, with her previous partner, were afterall silver medallists at the Asian Games, losing only to almighty Ra/Kim. Ranking wise, they're only one runk lower than Chen/Zhao. Also, Chen is still hasn't fully recovered from his injury from what I heard.

Go Thailand!! It's time they show their prowess. If Boonsak's luck in draws would turn for the better soon...

QT=cute, but QQ = Quit Quickly, TT = Trouble Times

    QQ/TT sounds QT (Cute)
But when doubled, QQ always Quit Quickly, and then TT has Trouble Times. ;)

Yeah i think CQQZTT deserve more credit than being called useless... but i do admit that they play too defensively haha... and yes the Thai pair seem to be doing really well in this tournament... defeating world no.3 pairing of KimLee when KimLee looked like they could only be pacified in the finals by KimRa...

Lin Dan seems invincible, but against Chinese teammates, he may not have big advantage. It's important for winning to play tricks and keep high spirit against international player, which Lin Dan is very good at. But it's another story for playing teammates. Skills and consistancy count this time. Luck is also very important.

One insteresting thing is that Bao cried and looked depressed after AE lost to Graffer, but smiled and looked confident after KO defeated by Palyama. He said after AE that he didn't know how he lost, and he said after KO that he knew how to win next time.

Win or lose, it is just too subtle to control

The difference between top mixed doubles pairs from China and from other countries is that in China, they don't use the top men's doubles players. If China were to seriously consider the mixed doubles event, then the big guns like Fu Haifeng or Cai Yun has got to come out. Other countries use their big guns.

agreed but i think china wants them to concentrate on their MD first... and i think they shld considering that cai fu are still a relatively new pairing...

correct me if i am mistaken, but i feel that the lady plays a much more decisive role... when ge fei paired up with liu yong, i recall them doing quite well even though liu yong was not really into md...

also, i think indonesia has had some good xd pairings with the guy not playing md at all... in fact, look at widianto and marissa now...

i feel that it's only when u have ladies who are almost equally good at dominating the net like ra and gao that it really boils down to the guy and needless to say kim is by far a better player than zhang...

until and unless cai/fu or othr top MD players are consistent enough, i dont think they shd be even considered playing two disciplines (MD and XD) at the same time... look at wht happened to Zhang Jun/Zhang Wei, they were doing fine in MD and were improving fast bt after both were played in the XD, they wr almost a gone case in MD.. my 2cts..

i m rather disappointed with the chn performance in JO espec Zhang JW/Yang W of losing in such a one sided affair to Ra/Lee.. bt thn, its gonna be more exciting final as thr wont be any chn vs chn final...

6 countries are represented in the 10 slots with chn having 4, kor 2, 1 each frm ina, ned, tha and sin...
