SHB-101M feels very nice with their thickened cushion. The grip on the court is also very nice, no slippery moments at all. I found out that 101LTD and 101M/L is just the difference in looks, there isn't any difference between them.
I too almost sprained my ankle with the SHB200 , went back to my old 57N no problem, think it is because it has more cushion and is more higher up. Does anyone know the width of the 57N compare to say the SHB 101 MX?
will reportl on my new SHB200 I just got a pair of SHB200 and will use it this evening. Thanks for the warning, and I'll report how I feel soon.
I heard this, so I also bought a pair of Asics Gel Task B905N as it was on sale, much cheaper than SHB200. Haven't used it yet. Plan to use them alternatively: Gel Task for practicing and less competitive games, and SHB200 for more serious games. As new shoes, it hardly feels Gel Task is heavier in my hands.
The JP Wide Mid version of the SHB200 has higher ankle cut which keeps a snug fit around the ankles to prevent the sprainage you mentioned. I advise those who find the SHB200's too high to give the JP version a try; it is no new discovery that the JP goods are usually better and more complete.
I always heard the JP version of yonex stuff is better, but in the UK badminton is not that popular. For example I was not able to find ANY stores in liverpool that sell yonex shoes and I was unable to find any online store that sell JP version of yonex stuff :crying:. As much I like to try the SHB 200 JP, don't think I can get hold of one
Hahah yeah, today was the second time using the SHB200 and I sprained my ankle! Rolled it upon landing. Not used to the extra 1.5 inch or so, and so I didn't lift my foot high enough while jumping laterally to the left.
For the comparison of those who are interested: Guess which one is wider, softer, tougher , more protective (and even possibly lighter, just a feeling although) and overall more comfortable It was not a long time ago when I finally realised that for Yonex goods (shoes and grips especially, the JP versions) are worth the amount you pay for. ALTHOUGH there ARE SOME CASES when you MAY BE PAYING TOO MUCH, so just be careful when you shop. On a side note I can't wait for the new SHB81WM to be released; I heard it may be even lighter and easier to manoeuver in:
Blitzzards, keep us posted on the new shoes! I've been in the market for new baddy shoes since my old Yonex orange 71s are starting to wear through at the pinky toe area, pretty badly too.
Correct. You can notice that the JP version has slightly different features such as the wider and rounder tip, the stretcher at the back and the plate at the top of the tongue which reads Wide Mid below Power Cushion 200.
I came from using my shb100 LTDs for a couple of years. They became worn out after a year on some areas, but were still usable and didn't rip on the sides until near the end of their life. I went for the 200's and after 2 months (roughly used 2x a week) the black side wall area ripped from the fabric! Might have been a defect, but good thing the store I bought them from warrantied them for me! I just went for the shb101s in blue as the claw design worked great for all those other years!
i've had my shb100mx red for over two years now i think, im pretty sure their shot and the botton is losing grip even with frequent cleaning and using a damp cloth while im playing, i want to get the 101 ltd but i heard the 101ltd are just a different color then 101 blue? is that true? i was hoping that i would get the ltd this time for the better material
So is both shb 200 jp and shb 200 ex are stiff and rigid similar to shb 100MX right? So if i need an insole, superfeet blue would be the best right? Thank You
Hey guys I was wondering I currently have a SHB - 100 and SHB - 98 Both are SP and both are size 8 US. If i would want to get a JP Size do I stick to the same size or size em up/down? Thank you! I can't get JP shoes here in Malaysia
