The lazer etched serial number looks correct for the time period these are produced in. Fakes tend to be stamped numbers not etched.

Not an expert by any means.. I thought lasered serial number is no longer a good benchmark for identification of fake YY rackets. This racket has a hologram sticker covering the distribution code, should that not be a cause for concern? None of the YY rackets I bought in Canada has the serial number partially covered. Just a thought.

The serial number is a good indication but it will not work all the time. Thats why leeshim always suggest to check cosmetics etc after he confirms that the serial/date code is legitimate. On a side note, the sticker should not exist on CD coded rackets. I know SP coded rackets have them and possibly other distribution codes in Asia may carry it as well. I'll let other members point that out.

Considering there is a PBSI sticker on there it's fairly obvious this is not a CD coded racket. The holographic sticker, I believe, is sunrise's which is an authorized Yonex distributor.
