Maybe we can have a poll on this. How many times have you been beaten 15-0?

Isit because you played with a far more better player? Or its just not your day? Or your partner's skills is worse than yours?

    Hmmm, interesting question.

I have played with many, many people who have had the potential to beat me 15-0 but they have all had the grace to give me 3 or 4 points. In your heart, you know it.

Honestly, the only time I can remember being beaten 15-0 was when I was still in High school and people didn't even know what diplomacy was...

In fact the best doubles partners I have played with, are the ones that are so good that they make you feel better as a player. They seem to be able to compensate for your weaknesses, and enhance your strengths. I must admit, I have only had the pleasure of this experience on one occasion. He was a Malay student at the same Uni , and I will always remember that one game with him.

It almost happened to me today. I was playing against my coach in singles and i managed to score 1 point off him so the score ended 15 - 1.

LOTS... even more if they didnt give me 14 point head starts :(

On a brighter note Ive been practising more lately and I can now beat them if they play me left handed :)

    Should I be proud?

    hm...in my case i think 3 or 4 times :p
    it was 11-0 not 15-0
i am the only beginner baddy player training with the state player...
    and i lost 11-0 to a 10 or 11 years old girl!!
but not all the time though ... the maximum i can get is only 2 points :p
sometimes getting 1 point really makes me happy..
    HAHAHAH...
cause i didn't imagine that i can 1 point from any of them :p

Will the game I got beaten 21-0 count in this?

The weird thing was it was a good day, I beat other players I'd never got any more than 8-9 points off before! It was just a bad game! (**COUGH COUGH**) That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

No the other guy just played far better on the day!

And in the UK it's called being "GRANNIED", because you have just played like one!

I played some old dude in singles, and he was alot faster than me.. lol i was being lazy though....i have a bad habit of making a good clear but not running back in position so if give a nice drop shot i always find myself hussling to get tot he bird. Most of the time i just let it go.! Ah well ;)

Recently lost 15-3 15-0 in a mens tournament. The opponents were simply very very good. No complaints.

I've had a few 0-15 defeats in my time. I remember the fastest defeat I had was years ago when I played MD's in the South African Open. We came against one of the top seeded SA pairs and it was over 0-15; 1-15 before we knew what hit us  .

Only complaint I had about that game was the fact that I suffered a bad back for weeks after from bending over to pick the shuttle up in such quick successions!! :)

AND EVEN WORSE!! I played our No. 1 in a Handicap Tournament a while before the above mentioned incident. He had a -15 American* handicap and I was +10 - you guessed it . . . . I lost 12-15; 10-15.

*American - he will lose a point on his serve as well.

Adding points for handicap doesn't work that well. You can expect the stronger player to win unless he/she is not trying.

I've had my share of bad days. Lost 1-15 against an advanced player in a singles match(didn't bother with handicap).

Also..on "bad" days the people I usually beat will beat me..maybe because I've lost confidence and/or they've become better.

But later on I play them again, and no one is dominating the game.

0:15? Well, not a stranger to me.

When I first started, I was short, fat, and have no sense about any sports. Plus I am a slow learner. Therefore, almost every single one in the club can beat me up badly. Lucky, I did not give up. Tons of 0:15 experienced, but i am slowly getting better.

Now days, not too many 0:15 though. Not because I am really that good, but simply because I don't play too many MS. :D

Being beaten by an ex-pro from China in MS. I always tried to get 1 points if I can. Since no one can match him here, we took turns to play with him. So he can play with his full strength otherwise he never can play competitive games. If you lined up at 2nd or 3rd game with him, it was hard to get a point.
