I thought it was difficult to play with it but it felt really nice. Big sweetspot thnx to Marks superB stringjob. Especially when playing doubles in competition you saw our opponents really look like wat in the hell is that awsome sound Even by playing dropshot from backcourt you heart the poing sound. Its really addictive to play with the combination Panda - Zymax string. Maybe the Zymax 0.70 is a better option for this tension. This String is so lovely to play with, lots of control in combination with the panda racket speed. In between a picked up my AT900P with 26lbs and it felt almost like a fishing net, I can´t go back anymore
New Pandas - T2, U2 and Revelation... Thanks to the cracking response in UK and EU to the Trinity Mk1, I have decided to wait until all three of the new Pandas are ready before I get my next shipment. This being the case, I need to get some approximate numbers of each racket - no good getting three of each and having all the Revs go in five days, for example - so if you are interested in one or more of these rackets please PM (or email) me and I'll keep score until the next shipment (roughly 8 weeks). I'm sure Dink will trickle details in as the upcoming rackets near completion, so keep an eye out. Regards, M.
I have one slight question, having received my 2nd trinity today I noticed that one of them has muscle power style bridge grommets next to the shaft, the other one (the one I received today) does not. I can also see that oldskools ultra and trinity have the mp style grommets. My question is, which one is the "correct" design. I'm not particularly worried just curious. I would also like to thank Mark A for his excellent stringing and prompt postage, not sure about the new models though, I'm liking the 1st gen trinity too much!
I believe the MP grommets are the "correct" design, but its always a personal preference. I had one of a dozen trins which didnt have them but I have them loose on hand. So technically you got a factory defect, which in some cases are collector items
I cant wait till the Trinity 2 comes out!!! Dink's gotta keep us posted so we can place orders asap lol.
As grommets can be changed out quite easily it might be quite hard to prove I have an "authentic" non mp grommet racket! Thanks for the info.
played some singles with the Trinity + Ashaway Powergut 66 @ 21lb clears and smashes fine, but I'm having trouble adjusting to it for defence. When blocking to the net it just feels dead. Played a bit of doubles with the Ultra + Ashaway MicroLegend @ 21lb... still needs getting used to, but no obvious problems like I had with the Trinity
Though the string is thin and powerful, PG66 @ 21lbs. is a bit too soft and numb, it needs to be strung tighter. I think ML is a better choice or string PG66 about 2-3lbs. tighter for better feel.
I agaree with Dink. At lower tensions ( I too play at 21 lbs) you need a stiffer string or you'll find the feel is mushy. That and you might find that the odd net flick will go haywire.
Got my Trinity today (85.5g and 288mm BP I think) strung with Zm62 @ 24.5 x 27 and have to say I don't like it.... I love it! It felt very solid and responsive which was great for the short game. As I settled into a few games I found it delivered in the other areas (just a case of getting used to it). Looking forward to more games with it!! Big thanks to Mark for speedy delivery and a great stringing job and of course Panda for his obviously worthwhile input! Cheers
Just want to say that I also use Panda racquets. In my case it's the Ultra with 285mm or so BP and 84g weight strung with BG-65 at 30x33. It gives a great feel and good control. Best racquets I've used to date. Can't wait to try the next gen. Ultra.
Dang j000! Panda is stringing and getting ready head out to SGVBC to test and confirm performance. No time for photos
I think Panda needs a full time assistant - you get to do all the work and he/she takes the pictures for us info hungry BCers!!
Update: just got back from hitting the U2 and am very happy with the results. A list of improvements was set and the U2 has passed with flying colors. Panda first went to OCBC and hit with Halim Haryanto and he really liked the racket. He said the U2 was noticeably faster and more mobile than the U1. Then Panda went to SGVBC (because he was so excited) and let a few others try it. They all agreed, the U2 is now "user friendly", not nearly as demanding like the U1. They all loved the solid feel and will be receiving a few orders soon... Time to sleep...will take some pictures tomorrow.
I was very surprised to see the posting today. Racket that can hold 40lbs... that's amazing and I would like to try out but i ain't around your location, caliornia. My base is in Korea. Can you ask your shipment sender to drop by korea on the way to california? How should I make an order?
