I seriously feel sad for LCW... Age is definitely not on his side, I do not hope as one of the Malaysian best single players, he will end up without winning any major title.....
More credit should have been given to Sony. LCW didn't play badly. LCW doesn't really have "off-days" when he just makes UEs for no apparent reason. There is always a reason for LCW errors. In this case, it was because Sony WAS at his super form, forcing LCW to go for shots that weren't on, and attempting winners far too early in the point. As LCW said at the beginning, he just couldn't get through Sony. Why couldn't LCW just say, "Like WC 07, Sony was just too good on the day". Cos that's the clear simple truth.

The result was disappointing indeed, considering that the coaches and the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) had met all of Chong Wei’s demand to prevent him from getting distracted in the few months in the run-up to the championships. China had more than one player to fight for the honours and it was underlined yet again in an all-China final between eventual champion Lin Dan and Chen Jin. And they are still hounded by their lack of consistency. National doubles chief coach Rexy Mainaky said: “Winning and losing are part and parcel of the game. “What is important is to learn from the defeat and come out as stronger players.” If only Chong Wei and his team-mates were strong enough, they could have withstood internal or external pressures to succeed and become world champions.
yes, the credits should be given to sony..this time loss, lcw didnt gave any excuses..a lost is a lost..and he also stated that sony is the better shuttler that day..

Hello fren, if it did not happen after 2 Olympics and a few WCs and AEs, it aint gonna happen lah. Plus, LCW is already 27 while LD is only 25 and with Chen Jin & Chen Long being younger and improving, it is gonna take more than a miracle to see LCW landing a major title. Dont hold your breath, ok?
Age is not a factor, dude. as i said before this, only time will tell.. just look at zhang ning and thomas laybourn for example.

Oops..correction.. ..sorry, i just checked and LCW will not be the oldest OG MS winner ever, should he win in 2012...Mr. PEH Larsen still holds it at 30 yrs old & 11 + months..LCW will only be close to 30 yrs old in 2012...Should LCW win it, he will be the 2nd oldest OG MS winner in history..
