Hi everyone,Does anyone know if we in the UK can watch any coverage on the telly either in Sky Sports or in other sat channels like Star Sports? I doubt our old BBC would do the honours! The reason I am asking I might subscribe to the channel temporarily, just to watch the footage.

    Eurosport and BBC 3/4

    Hey

Eurosport and BBC 3 or 4 have shown live footage from previous world championships. Just had a look at eurosports coverage pages but its only showing up to sunday. Will be up tomorrow I reckon.

    The BBC website reads:

"You can watch top class badminton events on the BBC in 2009.
Our cameras will be at top class events including the Sudirman Cup and the World Championships."

But the tv listings show no signs of this.........

I feel quite frusrated for not seeing the action on the telly:mad:. Badminton is the largest participant sport in the UK and yet its not shown much except for the AE on Sky Sports. With so many sports channels around, they have no excuse to show it!

Do you really think the BBC has badminton on their radar with the athletics world championships starting this saturday?
Maybe if they stopped waisting money on rugby league or formula 1, the usual 1-2 hour highlights block would've been shown like before but nothing in sight indeed ...
Obviously with England pulling out the incentive is even less than it was already.

Where did you hear that badminton was the largest participant sport ?
I'd love it if it were true but i can't find a club in london for my kids to start playing (re the londonplayer name bit) and I know for a fact that schools won't dedicate more than a month of their curriculum stuff over a school year. (even then it's not proper coaching, just a teacher who gives kids crappy rackets and leaves them to it)

    http://www.middlesexbadminton.co.uk/ under clubs.

    There's juniors at:
    Harrow, Barnet, Wood Green, Chiswick.

There's other clubs around that take youngsters but it depends on how old your kids are.

    Hope you find one.
