You are problary right. Even Lin Dan can loose some energy if he is to fight both Bao, PG and LCW. LCW is very close to Lin Dan in terms of skill and maybe even levels Lin Dan in terms of fitness so Lin Dan will have to be 110% ready if they are to meet in the semifinals. Li Yong Bo may yet again have to sacrifice some of his countrymen in order to let China have the biggest chance of capturing most gold medals.

I just look through again the drawing file and I realized that for WS, Japan only sends Yu Hirayama and Ai Goto. I am curious why Sato Sayaka is not sent.Anyone knows why Sato Sayaka is not playing in the WC 2009?

    Look at this: http://www.internationalbadminton.org/file_download.aspx?id=12747
Sayaka is only #6 in Japan. Then, a country can send 3 players if they all are ranked in top 24 (and 4 players - if they all are in top 8). So, Japan can send only 2 WS, that's what they did.

    Why she's not competing..

..that's correct, JPN can only send 2 WS players. See the regulation/eligibility requirement, specifically regulation 3.2.5 (players ranked 25-150), in the link below, post #49:

    Off topic-Of course lah..

...of course lah you can see her perform "in person", even before the 2010 WC, during next yr's M'sia Open and/or Thomas & Uber Cups, if she does come to M'sia..Why need to travel all the way to Paris, right??..;)
