I just wonder what the 'Z' shape means. Will it be similar to the new Carlton Vapour Trail?

    It doesn't mean z-shape...

    It's just means:

    "What the z look like?"

    .......

    Mega man Zero anyone?

Z-Saber: Zero's default weapon in all games, except for the x series 1 through 3. It appears as a longsword in Mega Man X2 - Mega Man X5, a rapier in Mega Man X6 - Mega Man X: Command Mission, a katana in Mega Man Zero, and changed to a triangular blade in Mega Man Zero 2 - Mega Man Zero 4. As Model Z, the Z-Saber is a triangular blade. It has a triple slash, and in the Zero series, can also be charged.

Args, just by the name of it, I want the racket, but too bad it comes out in September as I would have already left Asia :(

Can't wait until the details of the specs come out.

    a short translation:
"Apparently, the "Z" on the Yonex website is for the releasing of the Yonex Arcsaber Z Slash and will be advertised by around August and be marketted some time around September. There seems to be other racquets to be out too. "

    Taper shaft Z

The tapering of you!?!?! Does that mean Yonex will at last try to produce a racket with a tapered shaft?

    Taper shalf

Taper shaft racket has a higher kick point aka Gosen Roots Gavun Aermet 6900/7900. Of course Gosen's method is way classier. I think RSL has a taper racket in the laser 8900 series. Li Lin has too. Maybe its a me too thingy with YY. Anyways.....its worth a few more paragraphs of speculations before some of us will be shot down with an official statement from YY. Knowing the evil empire, the Z montser be a USD 300 racket that's non too technologically advanced than the next USD200 YY racket.

see this post about Gosen's technologically advanced Roots:

i believe that you are referring the Gosen's double kick point shaft system. if i rememebr correctly, a gosen racket with teh technology would flex in two different place/ 'kickpoints'

taper shaft is a bit different imo.

Agreed. Its not entirely the same. The concept is pretty close tot. Both methods will move the bending point of the shaft to where the maker wants it to be.
