I think elmizze meant Zorro, and not Roronoa Zoro. It appears that quik_silver has been watching too much One Piece himself.
Hahah... thanks for the clarifications modious Back to Yonex Z, this mystery marketing strategy is paying off for the Z. So far no real inside scoops on this from forumers here...
I bet ants knows, but the Empire will be filing his keystrokes and have snipers watching his computer monitor... YY REALLY need to do something special this year - their near-monopoly has been severely compromised thanks to Li Ning and Victor. For all we know, though, Z could be a new wristband (but isn't it exciting!).
yup, yonex need to buck up or they may lose out. with li-ning grabbing team CHN and victor grabbing team KOR, yonex only has team MAS, team INA and half of team DEN left. considering how powerful CHN and KOR are at the moment, it looks like yonex will only be represented in 1/3 of the tournament winners this year, compared to over 90% in previous years.
So, this is just rumour, so please don't complain if it turns out not to be the case. There are rumours floating around in Hong Kong saying that the new Z will either be a brand new Arc racket or a Cab 3X racket. Honestly, I think that Yonex will still be the market leader in the near future. LiNing is hot right now due to the fact that it is now the sponsor of the Chinese team. But with the price tags, people will still stick with the proven Yonex. Victor has some nice rackets and they have been doing great with a smaller collection of 'not quite cheap' top end rackets.
Yes but Yonex was "hot" even with the high price tags , Li Nings price tags are not a lot more than Yonex's price tags. The game will begin - and now we will see a lot of competition .
if that's a Z then yonex is copying nissan fairlady... or could that be an ultra-artistic logo of 77?
Competition is good. You can see Yonex responding soon. But it is hard to compared Yonex with LiNing. Yonex have a fair share market in tennis and golf as well, plus surf boards lawn tennis rackets etc etc. I am not playing down LiNing's recent impact on the market, but if you are aware, there are also Head, Babolat, Carlton, who are sponsoring loads of players in Europe. Yonex was "hot" beacause of its consistant quality over the years. LiNing, would be better off pricing their racket just slight cheaper than the Yonex counterparts to gain a larger market in the beginning. LiNing has to show if they can consistantly beat Yonex in all tornments to justify their price tags. And I hope that Yonex Z respond would be a good one.
Dear All, I found about the Yonex Z in this website: http://www.windsorracket.co.jp/badminton/news/2009/07/post-19.html http://badomintondan.blog46.fc2.com/ However, it is in Japanese language. Can't really understand. Below is the translation by using Google. Appearance secret weapon? 9 comes from the annual YONEKKUSUOPUNJAPAN begins Monday. In addition, it will launch a new product from the YONEX racquet. The name is ARCSABER Z SLASH (Read as slash AKUSEBA ZUI)Gee, looks cool name.I like strong. However, the details yet or how things are in the dark. And the name, The Z-shape? The tapering of you? And we think exciting rallies . Details released in 8 / late, and will be released in nine months. Weapons us how much we can do to see you have to look forward .
Yonex must be pretty desperate to extend the ArcSaber series beyond the 7, 9 and 10. In another sense, it also means that the Nanospeed 9900 has turned out to be a dud If this is the counter to Li Ning, Yonex is likely to lose the opening round at least.
It means Annual Yonex Open Japan begins in Sept..... ............. Details come out late Aug and begin selling in Sept.
Arcsaber Z Slash??? That sounds cool and all....But....I don't expect much from Arcsaber after I've seen 7, 9, and 10.....
acutally previously before the nanospeed 9900 is released, some one mentioned tat there will be a new arc saber released this year.. so i dun think this is a desparate measure... hopefully this will be a head heavy arc saber!
