Its not an indoor court. They just covered the top using some kind of net. It prevents light winds from coming inside the court. But its not perfect yet. Worst part is that, you cant see the shuttle when its sunny. you have to wait till its night, to play some good games. No one was there to play because of the very same reason.
It is incomplete. The floor is concrete, painted with some Anti Slip stuff. Its really rough that if you trip over you'll probably injure yourself. And to get facts right, there arent more than 10 GOOD badminton courts here in Qatar. Qatar Badminton Center has 2 Courts ( one wooden and the other concrete ) All other clubs have makeshift courts.
Yeah . In England you can differeintate each seperate county (state) by their left arm. Most of them have the same left arm style .
This actually sounds really interesting (to me) as i played against few different countys a while ago but never took the time to notice this (probably due to young ignoranace). I'd be interested in reading about this, PM me if it's not suitable for this topic/you can be bothered. Oh and hi by the way. I've lurked for a bit but simply cannot not post any longer, this forum is far to usefull for anyone interested in badminton for me to not start showing support. I'l try and get a video sorted at some point once i feel more confident, all the ones on here have been great so far. This thread is epic.
How about an update ... So, what's the result in LD rules! and Armor_tec_14's tournament? Did you guys compete? I would like to see Jerby and Bradymaster play singles. Too bad Brad is still recovering from his injury. Anymore videos? I tried recording through my phone, but it's too blurry. I also don't get a chance to video a good game. I'll wait until I get an opportunity to play with my regular doubles partner.
I did actually have a video recorded , the quality was average. The only thing is , whilst we were playing , my opponent must have jumped up and landed heavily and shook my mobile phone , so it fell on the floor. So I have like 40 seconds , and then a lot of footage of the floor ! I will try and get a video - I must have said this loads , but I do really want to get the video up. But every time I play a match I forget or dont bring the camera etc.
Yeah I played. I had strained my thigh on the thursday night and the tournament was played on saturday so my thighs were really sore but I played the group stages and came through to the knockout stages where I was beaten In the second round I suppose I played alright considering but I was quite disappointed I dont remember LD rules! playing though and I dont know how he got on.
I wanted an Armor 14 (sorry for the mispelling) and an LD Rules! Match. That would be quite interesting.

So you know his real name? Contact him and go set up a match. Maybe we could make a PAW out of your games. (PAW, I think, is the game BCers play at the Tournament thread. I'm still not familiar about the rules. )
He told me his name so that I could check his results but I cant remember seeing his name on the website. I don't know. I'm so busy over the summer holidays but maybe one day.

Here's one for you Kriss. It doesn't really turn out as good as I'd like it to be. I would prefer posting a video of a game or a cool jump smash. Whatever, here's my Badminton training video (right click to save as or wait for it to load). It might also show a few here how to train your defense. Please bear in mind at that moment it was the end of the day, we had been training for 4 hours so that explains why I look lazy.
