So what is the result?I dont watch it ..(Ive no time to check tournament sofware .. lazy or busy .. dont know)
hmm,he did many mistake in 1st set,and then gear up his percise in 2nd set, better. chen long is good, but he cant play his usual game when face lcw
For sure DLCW care for the revenge and finally he got it. Also clear his name for given an accuse when lost first round to CL in India. DLCW too good for CL as CL lack of experience.
If you ask me, LCW was being charitable by letting Chen Long get 16 point in game 1. You can see that he wasn't smashing and he lower his speed like 50%.
Actually this is one of the thing I don't like about LCW. He always "pang cui" when playing against lower ranking players, like his match with Jan O something (the upcoming Denmark player) in Swiss and Sudirman Cup. As a spectator, I just don't know whether if he not on form that day
i think the memory of CL beating lcw would be more long lasting than lcw beat CL. I learned it from u guys, how u guys keep bring up about how lcw beat LD.
I think it's Hokkien for release water ( 放水). Not sure if it's a slang used elsewhere in the Chinese speaking world, but it's quite common in Malaysia and Singapore. It basically means lowering your own standards to make it easier for your opponents (so that they don't look so bad or if you are just toying with them).
Well, the official reason is LCW got slight back injury, that's why he kan cheong to finish it off quickly. http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/Monday/Sport/2594687/Article/pppull_index_html Badminton / Yonex-Sunrise Malaysia Open: Chong Wei grabs title despite bad back By Reports by Ajitpal Singh 2009/06/29 LEE Chong Wei, despite carrying a back injury, captured back-to-back titles when he won the Yonex-Sunrise Malaysia Open Grand Prix Gold at the Johor Baru City Council Indoor Stadium yesterday. The Malaysian World No 1 displayed superb attacking prowess and sound court control to brush aside China's Chen Long 21-16, 21-9 to complete his first double after bagging last week's Indonesia Open. He picked up the winner's cheque for US$9,000 (RM31,788). It was sweet revenge for Chong Wei after his shocking India Open defeat to Chen Long two months ago. "I suffered a minor back injury in the first round. It's nothing serious but I have been going for physiotherapy every day," said Chong Wei, who also won the Malaysia and Swiss Opens this year. "I needed to be careful and changed my tactics a little by playing aggressively. I feared if I had prolonged the match I would aggravate my injury. I'm heading back to Kuala Lumpur tonight (yesterday) to continue with treatment." Chong Wei said Chen Long is young and has a good future in the sport. "I believe he will be the one to take over from Lin Dan, Bao Chunlai and Chen Jin. He is a good attacking player and could prove to be a dangerous opponent in future," he said. Chong Wei, a bronze medallist in the 2005 World Championships, will start as one of the favourites in this year's edition in Hyderabad, India, in August. "I have about six weeks to prepare for the world meet. I have never reached the final before and I need to prepare hard to at least attempt it in Hyderabad." National coach Misbun Sidek said Chong Wei is on the right track for Hyderabad. "Chong Wei showed that despite the injury, he can still win matches. This will boost his confidence for the world meet," said Misbun. On Chong Wei's preparation, Misbun said he will need to discuss with the player on the options. "The main thing is to train hard, get good rest and have quality food. These three factors will be vital at this stage of his preparation," added Misbun. Meanwhile, in the battle of qualifiers, China's Wang Shixian claimed her first international title by edging teammate Wang Xin 21-16, 18-21, 21-10 in the women's singles final. "This is my third trip to Malaysia and I have won two medals here. It is a lucky place for me," said Shixian, who took silver in last year's Asian Junior Championships in Kuala Lumpur.
